//Just a warning, I told you this would be a long one and by long I mean LONG. And I will say there is a trigger warning with blood/cuts so if you're sensitive to that, I'm sorry.
Marinette awoke in excruciating pain. The frantically looked around as her vision cleared. In front of her stood a tall man, in front of what looked like a stained glass window. He intrigued her as he cleared his throat and turned. "Why hello, Marinette." His deep and menacing voiced echoed throughout the room. The bluenette shuddered at his booming voice. It was vaguely familiar, but she couldn't quite pinpoint it. She looked down at her lap, noticing she was no longer in her red spotted suit. She frantically went to reach for her earrings, but she was restrained at the wrists.
"Looking for these?" The mysterious villain chuckled as he he tossed an earring up into the air. She watched helplessly as the moonlight that came through the stained glass reflected upon the shiny red earring. "What do you want from me!" She cried out. Her voice faltered as she reached the end of her sentence. The man pulled a knife from behind his back, "I don't know.." He snickered. "Depends on if you can tell me where that ratty sidekick of yours is?" Her eyes widened as the light glinted of the shiny blade and she shook her head, "I-I... I wont tell you!" She felt tears pull at her eyes but she refused to cry.
The man took a few strides towards her until they were face to face. The darkness shrouded his features as he slowly ran the blade over her wrist. The girl cried out in pain, "What is wrong with you!" She snapped. He gave her an intimidating look and she cowered backwards. He slowly took the tip of the knife and dug in with all his worth. The nearly fainting bluenette groaned in agony. "Tell me." Marinette had never thought two simple words could frighten her so much. "Once Chat knows I'm missing you'll be dead at his fingertips!" She growled, "You're sick!" She kicked him backwards and she immediately regretted the decision. He then, picked up his scepter and swung it. The metal shaft of the scepter collided with the back of her head, and she was instantly thrown from consciousness.
The cat followed the voice of his mother into a dark room, and there she stood with open arms. It was all he could ask for. He ran towards her and wrapped his arms around.. nothing exactly. His mother, disappeared at his touch. He cried out in anger as he kicked the wall beside him. He groaned as he hung his head, "Mom.. I'll Find you." He hopped from roof to roof, examining in every window discretely. But there was one window, a very intricately designed window. A stained glass butterfly was placed in the center. The curious boy looked in, seeing the moonlight glint over a few bars. He questioned the suspicious view and dropped in. He watched as the fragile blue glass broke with the force of his kick and he was satisfied. He slipped into the room through the hole where the blue pane of glass had once been. The room had an eerie feeling about it. The blonde stepped towards where he had seen the bars, but was stopped by a voice. "Haven't you heard, curiosity killed the cat." The deep voice of a man thundered throughout the room. The voice was cold and heartless.
Chat whipped his head around to see a tall, broad shouldered man behind him. The man began to talk, "I was wondering when you would show, Chaton." The man snickered as he expressively moved his arms as he spoke. There, in his hands, and glimpse of silver and red caught his eye. The bloody knife was gripped by the man as he talked. Chat snarled at him, "Where did you hear that?!" There was a deep laugh before the villain continued his speech, "You know, Ladybug is quite the strong one. But not strong enough. I must say.. Her cries in agony sure are amusing." The boy could now make out the mans features. A butterfly pin held his tie in place, and he held a scepter in his opposite hand, that too was blood stained. Chat's heart sank in his chest hearing how ladybug was hurt. He growled, "What did you do to her?!" His voice broke mid sentence as his chest hurt badly. First the calls form his mother weren't real.. and now this! "Oh you know, the torturing basics. You see, I was asking for your location. She wouldn't budge. That bratty girl, earned her consequence though. All she had to do was tell me, and it would've been over. She wouldn't have bled. She wouldn't have gone unconscious. But you know what?" He paused for a moment to stare down Chat Noir with his deep blue eyes. "Not everybody is cut out to be a hero."
The criminal's words sent chills down the boy's spine. Before Chat could answer the man disappeared, and soon the sounds of Ladybug's calls for help rang through the room. "What do you want from me?!" Adrien's heart continued to shatter as he listened. "You're sick!" The screams continued to fill the room. "W-Why do you do this..?" Chat heard the girl's voice crack as her voice boomed all around him. Chat dropped to his knees, covering his ears with his gloved hands. "Stop! Just stop hurting her! Hurt me instead! Just please... L-leave her out of this!" The man stepped out of the shadows pulling a chair behind him. There in the chair was a struggling girl, "Get way from me!" Her voice, was no longer strong but was now weak and cracking at the seems.
The man then grabbed Chat by the wrist and pulled him over to another chair and shoved him into it. "Actually, I have a better idea.." Soon enough the boy was tied up too and the chair was sat in front of Marinette. The villain stood behind her and slowly began to drag the knife across her arms again. The girl cried out in excruciating pain as she kept her head hung low. "S-Stop!" Chat called out, trying to break free of his restraints. Marinette lifted her head and looked the boy in the eyes. The boy saw a lack of something she'd always had in those bluebell eyes... Hope.
Marinette started to sob as the cutting continued. Tears rolled down her face as she averted her gaze away from Chat, who sat across from her. She was ashamed that she wasn't strong this time. "You see, Adrien... " The leather clad hero perked up at his name, "There's nothing more that hurts you, than seeing the girl you love most, in pain. I finally found your weakness," he paused a moment. "Son."
Chat was taken aback, "I'm not your son! I don't have a father! And if you happened to be my father, you would cease to exist! Because the father i have, isn't a father! He's just a worn man who doesn't care about my well being! No matter how hard you try to be a father, Gabriel." Chat tripped the man as he finished cutting his bindings with his claws. "You won't ever be!" Chat kicked the man towards the wall, "Where's the earrings?" Adrien growled. No response. "Where are they?!" He yelled as he stood over the man. Chat's eyes landed on the butterfly pin that held his tie. He simply leaned over and snatched it. And like that, the boy chucked it at the wall and it shattered. The old man seemed frightened now that his power was gone. "Listen, Adrien.." He scooted back towards the wall in attempt to get away, but Adrien just moved closer.
Marinette watched in horror as blood pooled around her. During the commotion she had been knocked from her chair, and with the fall the rope binding her had snapped. There she lay on her back, unable to move, as the blood spilled from her wounds. Everything was blurred as she saw a dark figure appear over her, "P-please... Don't hurt me again.." She cried, unable to recognize the figure in the darkness. She felt arms wrap themselves around her and pull her close, "Hey... Marinette... It's me.. You'll be okay." There it was, the soothing voice of the boy she loved. Chat's warm, concerned voice hung in the air as he ripped her blazer and began to wrap her wounds. "It'll all be okay.."
