On the still day dreaming girls way out of class, she was intercepted by Chloe. "What does a girl like you think she's doing with Chat Noir? Because honestly, he loves me. I make cat puns just like him, and they're purrfect." Marinette cringed, trying to hide her breaking heart.
"Chloe. Could you please move?" Marinette ignored her comment, hopefully to get off subject. "You bet I won't!" Chloe snickered, "not until you give up that sidekick of ladybug-" the bluenette cut her off, "He's not a sidekick! He never has been! He's her partner and without both of them you wouldn't be standing right here today!" She blurted out a bit too loud as the other teens in the hallways stared.
She shoved Chloe out of the way and bolted. School was over anyways, and she couldn't handle the amount of eyes on her. She ran out the building until she could stop at her favorite park across the street.
There, across the way, stood Adrien and his photographers. He didn't seem to be having much fun, but Marinette would've suspected that with how demanding his father is. Adrien looked over at her and beamed as he waved. Marinette blushed lightly and waved back in her typical awkward way.
Sitting on the bench, Marinette expected her kitty to come and chat, but unfortunately he never showed. She sighed before she headed home after clearing her head and getting a few sketches drawn for her design class. She stepped up her stairs and plopped down onto her bed, drained from all energy.
