Marinette headed home from her late night chatting with Alya. She walked, cause she didn't have a car quite yet. She'd wished Alya's house had been closer, but it was close enough. The only bad thing was that the only way to get to her house was through the less lit side of town, which scared Marinette quite a bit.
Rain began to pour and with the pouring came the sound of the potter patter of rain on the rooftops and pavement. She treaded along, checkin behind her back every now and then. But apparently that checking wasn't enough. A dark black figured pulled her into a alleyway with a hand clamped over her mouth. She struggled and fought back but the man's grip was too strong.
Chat was doing his normal patrol, it was his turn this night, when something felt off about this strange part of town. He kept a close eye on the unlit chunk of town, being it was a key place for thieves. Whilst leaping from roof to roof, his hearing heightened and he caught a light muffled scream. He ran towards the sound, still on the rooftops, until the muffled scream pounded in his cat ears. He leaned over the side of the roof top to see a girl struggling under a man's grasp.
Chat pounced down from the building in front of the two. He didn't quite take the time to check identities because before he knew it he'd swung his baton at the man's head. The man swiped back though, he'd been holding a knife the whole time. The measly shiv, that Chat thought couldn't do much harm, plunged into his shoulder and he groaned before shaking off the pain to give the man a kick in the face. This kick managed to loosen his grip on the girl enough so she could struggle out. And at that point is when Chat almost dropped everything and hugged her.
The bluenette stood trembling before him. She was clearly bleeding, probably from the shiv the man had held. Her black blazer was torn off and thrown to the ground and her hair was pulled from the pigtails it had been neatly pulled into earlier. Chat stood in pure surprise and concern before telling her to step behind him, except this time, his voice wasn't confident, his voice was soft and trembling.
