Clara:
The kids blackmailed me. Artie and Angie, they blackmailed me into getting them a trip. On the same day we had Lyric with us, the 10 year old who was still very scared of her big sister. Oh, Sky was good, Midna, my Midna was perfect fiancée. The wedding was being planned, but she had actually yet to meet my dad and nan, who would love her, but then there was my stepmum. Who thought that I just hadn't met the right bloke yet.
Blokes? Nah.
"Well, here we are. Hedgewick's World." The Doctor grinned, leading the way out of the TARDIS. "The biggest and best amusement park there will ever be, and we've got a golden ticket. Eh? Eh? Fun."
Sky, who was currently sitting in her chair, unable to get onto any of the rides, raised an eyebrow. "Fun?"
Angie folded her arms. "Your stupid box can't even get us to the right place. This is like a moon base or something."
"It's not the moon."
"Actually, I think it does look like the moon, only dirtier." Artie told him, while I realised that Lyric would probably get on quite well with Artie. Both very polite and loved animals.
But Gramps was getting a little upset. "Hey. Guys. It's not the moon, okay? It's a Spacey Zoomer ride, or it was."
A door opened in one of the large rocks, and a man wearing a tall hat looked out. Not that great of a hat, Luke's fedora collection was a little cooler. "Psst. Excuse I. I don't suppose you happen to be my lift off planet? Dave's Discount Interstellar Removals?"
"Afraid not." I told him, holding my Midna's hand.
The man groaned, thoroughly fed up. "They were meant to be here six months ago. Well, that's Dave for you, see? Unreliable."
A womans voice cut through the air. "Stay where you are!" Then the man ducked back down into his hole, before a load of military ran in. "Throw down your weapons and identify yourselves."
"No. No weapons." The Doctor told him, holding it up. "Golden ticket. Spacey Zoomer. Free ice cream?"
"Who are you? This planet is closed, by Imperial order."
And of course, we had to queue the psychic paper. "How's this?"
"Oh. Welcome, Proconsul. I wish they'd told us you were coming. Any news of the Emperor?"
He blinked. "Oh, the Emperor. No, no. None that you'd er-"
The lady bowed her head a little. "We pray for his return. If there is anything you need, my platoon is at your service."
"Right. Righty-o. Well, carry on, Captain." Sky smiled, moving forward without touching anything. Thought powered, it was so cool, and she was remotely controlling Torchwood, light years in the future.
"Platoon, let's move out!" She shouted at her team. "On the double. Two, three, four. Two, three, four. Two, three, four."
The military ran off, and the man poked his head out again. "Have they gone?" We nodded. "Uniforms give me the heebie-jeebies. Come on. They can't stop me being here, but they don't like it."
He led us away from the Zoomer for a view of the whole amusement park, and actually, it was more kenopsic. A place that used to be so full of life and happiness, but now was so lonely and empty. "Ha, ha! You see? I told you it was amazing. Well, it used to be."
Wrecked mega-scenic rollercoaster and other rides. Grass was growing in the cracks in the concrete. My favourite word, Kenopsic, because one day, everything would be, in time. Everything becomes empty. "It closed down. Wish I'd known that before I landed here. But let me show you my collection. Come along. Follow me. This way. This way in, come on." He showed the way down some steps into a comfy looking room, with the creepy bonus of waxworks, all lit by chandeliers. "Welcome to my show. Webley's World of Wonders. Miracles, marvels and more await you. I am Impresario Webley. You see before you waxwork representations of the famous and the infamous. Anybody here play chess?" Sky and gramps put their hands up. "Perhaps you, young man?"
