Rain's POV

I could see the blood leave Alistair's face at what the healer said and I am sure that I am the same. they just couldnt fathom what kind of monster could do that to a little girl. Nailing her to the floor for 10 years without any blood to survive and yet, she lives.

"If that bastard isnt already dead I wouldve gutted him and have him eat his intestines!!" Alistair growled.

i just stayed silent as i watch the healers reveal some hammers and pulled out a nail. immediately blood spurted out like a fountain and Aleah woke up screaming from the pain. Something inside me suddenly burst out and the next thing i knew i had the healer thrown across the room. The other healers backed away from Aleah because I was hovering around her protectively.

"What in the blazing moons?!" Exclaimed Alistair.

I know what he sees, fangs hissing, sharp claws and most especially my blood red eyes. They all stare in shock and awe as they saw another Blood Sorcerer vampire.

"Rain..."

That soft murmur made me turn around and look at Aleah. she was so weak and in pain, it made me want to kill those who hurt her.

"Shh... No one will hurt you anymore, little one."

She kept on crying and whimper as i touch her face gently.

"Rain, friend, you have to let the healers do their work. the princess wont survive if she keeps on bleeding like that." Alistair said.

I just hissed at him baring my fangs. i wont let them cause her pain again.

"I hope you will forgive me for what I'm about to do, my friend" he sighed as he snapped his fingers.

Out of the shadows of the room came out hooded warriors. these were the few men who i had personally trained in fighting over the years. You ask why? Who would ever thought to teach a group of vampires the fighting style of a vampire hunter? A vampire's abilities plus a vampire hunters knowledge? A very dangerous combination indeed.

I hissed at them, baring my fangs.

"They wont be able to stop me"

"I know. But i wasnt planning on it."

With that said five of the warriors jumped on me and pulled me away from Aleah. I tried to buck them off me but the others joined in the pile. they were able to hold me down while the healers scrambled to treat Aleah. They finally were able to take out all the nails from her body and lifted her off the ground. when they spun around and get out of the room thats where my strength redoubled.

"NO!"

Alistair fame into my line of vision and knelt before me and looked me in the eye.

"You must calm yourself Rain! You are not helping the princess the more you struggle! She needs you now more than ever!" He exclaimed.

When he said that i calm down and stop struggling. When they realized that i wasn't fighting them they get off me.

"Thank you." said Alistair.

"No. I should be the one who said be thanking you and also for asking for your forgiveness I wasn't thinking clearly." I said while fixing myself.

"Don't think about it my friend. Though the way you act more like the princess' Bloodmate. Is she?"

I stiffened when he said this.

"No, I just couldn't stand the thought of a child in pain, that's all." I said.

"Whatever you say my friend. Come let us see the princess." he pat my shoulder and lead the way up the stairs.
