Chapter 8

Rain's POV

We exited the room when a soldier appeared.

"Where did the healers bring the princess?" Alistair asked

"The healers brought her to the Queen's chambers at the other end of the castle. Sir what shall we do with the blood slaves?" He asked.

"Have them treated. Erase their memories of their stay here and return them from where they are taken. Make sure they are not harmed. Understand?" i said.

"Yes sir!" the soldier saluted then left.

We made our way to the other side of the castle. All the while i notice the whispers from lingering vampires.

"They found the princess!"

"What will happen to her now?"

"Im so glad she's alive!"

"What will Lord Harlan do now?"

"What will happen to us now?"

I ignored the others as we approach a set of wide double doors. We entered to wide bedroom. there were doors that lead to the "relief room" and her clothes room. at the other side is a wide bed at the center was the princess. The bed was so wide that you could barely see her with all the pillows surrounding her. The healer was at her side and the servant Odessa was at the other wiping her brow.

"How is she?" Alistair asked

"She is weak with lack blood. We tried feeding her but its not enough. And her wounds are taken care of but I'm afraid that she will be scarred." he said while looking down.

"What?" Alistair exclaimed.

"With 10 years of being nailed to a Dark Pentagram without any blood to survive and heal her what do you expect?"

We look at Odessa as she stood beside the bed glaring at us. I heard a hiss escape Alistair and notice that he was looking at Odessa with a strange emotion in his eyes. I ignored it and looked back at the little girl in the huge bed.

"If only her mother was alive. Then she can help the princess." said Odessa

I looked at Alistair whose eyes are still on Odessa.

"What does she mean?"

"Princess Aleah or more appropriately Queen Aleah is last surviving Blood Sorceress. Her blood is special and only another Blood Sorceress could be able to heal her with their blood." Alistair explained.

I look back at Aleah and noticed that she was more paler than 10 years ago. She has bags under her eyes and you could see the bones sticking out under her skin.

"Alistair you take care of the nobles. They will be up to something now that Servius is dead. Keep an eye out for a Lord Harlan and see what he might do." i ordered

"Lord Harlan is a high ranking noble its possible that he would have his eye on the throne. I'll keep an eye out for him. Anything else?" he asked.

"Get rid of anyone who opposes us." i said.

Alistair grinned at this. with one last look at Odessa he left the room. I look at Odessa.

"Leave."

She fearfully stared at then look down as if she was thinking of something then she turn back to glare at me and said.

"Tell me, now that you have defeated Servius what is your plan? do you plan on using Princess Aleah's powers so that you could be king? Or are you going to kill her so that the vampire race could be extinct? because if it is then i wont allow it!"

"If I wanted her dead then i would have left her there nailed to that floor! So leave!" i yelled.

She jumped up in fright and reluctantly left before closing the door behind her. I slowly walked to her bed and sat beside her. I looked at her face and brushed aside a strand of hair, this cause her to wake up. And i looked into the beautiful red eyes of Aleah.
