Rain's POV

"It will be different because you have me now. You wont be alone, you will never be alone because I am here."

Never be alone...

Never be alone...

Never be alone...

Those words repeated itself again and again in my head even after i placed Aleah back on her bed and left her. I then made my way to the hall. i arrive at the hall only to see a commotion. A vampire lord was screaming at the top of his lungs. On the dais standing beside the throne was Alistair rolling his eyes at the ridiculous spectatcle. I look around the hall and saw my soldiers alert and waiting for a command while the rest of the nobles were cowering at the sides in fear. I approach Alistair and stood beside him watching the vampire lord preaching about the certain hierarchy of vampire royalty.

"who's the idiot?" i asked

" Lord Harlan, the vampire lord who governs the south district. He has been going on about being a regent since he has the largest territory and abundant wealth. But if you ask me it is quite obvious that he is just after the power the throne can give." he said.

"What about the others?" i looked at the other nobles on the otherside of the hall. They were either crying and trembling in fear or quiet and observant.

"The fair haired one thats standing on the side holding a red head is Lord Dragos and his bloodmate Lady Catalina. He governs the the north district. He is known to be fair, just and kind to his tennants." he explained.

"Would you please stop embarrassing yourself Harlan! How can say that you will be the regent when it Her majesty Queen Aleah is still alive?" the voice of Lord Dragos resounded in the hall.

"And apparently he is quite loyal to her majesty's bloodline." Alistair added in a whisper.

"How can you say that her Majesty is alive? She isnt even here!" Harlan argued.

"Becuase if she is dead then it would the end of us you blumbering fool!! You keep forgetting that she is descended the Original Blood Sorceress! Her death could be our death! Now stop wailing like a dying pig becuase your noise is giving my head quite the ache!!" Dragos replied.

"I like him." Alistair whispered to me and i could only nod.

"How dare you insinuate that i have no loyalties to the Blood Sorceress! I am-"

"ENOUGH!!!" I yelled at them. When they all look at me that was when they realize that I was there all along. I glared at them daring them to speak but they didn't in fear.

"Her majesty is resting at the moment so any discussion regarding regency will be postponed at the moment. Now dawn approaches. We will give you any news regarding her majesty's health the next moon rising." Alistair explained. After that we left the hall as several servants start to close huge drapes of curtains in every window and vampires scamper to hide from the light of the sun.
