Jace looked around his room. His heart was pounding into his chest nervously. He hadn't found Kalen and not to mention it was getting dark. The moon hung in the sky like a painting, as if it was drawn with a neon white for the whole world to see. The brightness reflected onto the lake. His view from his window was breath taking. It was like god was sending him a message every full moon.

He hoped for good news but nothing had came since Cera was in the infirmary three hours ago. He sat on his bed, putting his hand to eyes covering them. He began to cry. He felt like a terrible friend. He should have took care of Kalen instead of fall asleep himself. With a shaky step, he stood up.

I will see her again, he thought. I will

Dustin was in the infirmary watching over Cera. He held her limp, pale hand. Her eyes stared into endless space with no movements since she got to the infirmary. The nurses had tried bandaging up her neck without choking her and putting her on a IV. Even then she didn't wake up. He couldn't watch this anymore. He couldn't watch her suffer anymore. Without a word, Dustin ran out to the forest, the cool night air cooling his heated body down.

He collasped to his knees, by a down tree. He wanted to know who killed her. He stood up, taking a deep breath. "I will get revenge on you." He muttered under his breath the calm wind taking it away. "No more of my friends are going to die. Not now, not anymore!" He annouced quietly, clenching his fist. He was sure of that.

Kayden sat in a cell. A blooy bullet sat besides him from his wound from his stomach. He cringed. He needed to save Kalen. Thats what his plan was. He stood up, whipping around to see the moon reflecting outside the cell window above him. He felt stregth in his bones as he walked to the bars, curling his hand around them.

Crack, crack, crack.

He looked down at his knuckles seeing a bright crimson color on his hands. He shook his head, ignoring the feeling of pain. He had to save Kalen. He had no choice now. He ran through the maze of hallways and corridors smelling the sweet blood from Kalen. He after all could never forget her scent. Something was different about it.

Stoping in the middle of the hall, he looked frantically both ways then running down one more hall. There, he saw Kalen. Her fiery red hair mixed with her blood and her eyes closed. Her face had become a ghostly white.

With inhuman speed, he broke the chains off her wrists and ankles. Her body fell sideways on the concreate floor. He sat crossed legged letting her head rest as a pillow on his legs. He observed her body. It was battered and beaten. He felt sorry for her but this was her destiny.

First, he swiftly pulled the dagger out out her right thigh. It began to bleed, making a puddle under her leg. He looks to her side and carefully pull out the silver dagger. Her side wound had less blood then her leg. His eyes turned red as he saw something silver sticking out of her left shoulder blade and chest.

He shuddered. He'd only taken out  a bullet once in his life and that was to save Renee from cheap shot. The hunter followed them to track a deer only to hit Renee in the arm instead. He swore to himself that he'd protect her no matter what from that day foward.

He inhaled a deep breath, before closing his eyes. He felt the bullets lift from her skin and then clattering on the ground next to him. When he opened his eyes, two bullets were besides him.

A sigh in relief exits his mouth as he looked down at Kalen. She was evenually going to die of blood loss.

Breaking the bars once again, he kneeled infront of her checking her pulse on her wrist first. He felt the slow pound of her heart but barely there.

His breathes quickened. He first had to get her away from here safetly. Then change her to a vampire. His mind spun in different directions along with different ways but her had to think quick and smart.

Hastily, he bite his left wrist. Blood dripped down to his elbow then onto the floor as he put it to Kalen's mouth. She had to be alive.

He waited for a minute then felt his blood being drank. Her eyes still were closed. Suddenly she pulled away. Quickly he pressed two fingers to wrist. There was no pulse.

A smile cracked on his face. He was on time. Now he had to change Cera too. She could only last for another two hours but he still wasn't sure.

He watched her then suddenly she gasped for air, lifting her hair of his lap. She was out of coniousness. She looked around, not relizing he was with her. Within seconds, her head dropped like  a ragdoll down on my lap. Unconcious again. He picked her up. She felt a like feather in his arms.

He walked out of the cell and saw the empty hallways. He began to run, quicker then the speed of light to his dorm room. No one even saw him, it only seemed like slight breeze form the trees outside.

Quickly, he set her gingerly on the bed. He covered her with a sheet over her chest. He could already see the wounds healing.

He backed up and went out to the halls of the dorms, causally. With his gold key, he locked his dorm room. He didn't want a new vampire getting lose did he?

He whistled as he made his way to the infirmary. The room was full of observant nurses, like busy bees in a hive. White covered the entire room and the sheets along with wooden cabinets.

A nurse came up to him. She breathed heavily and quickly as if she nervous beyond compare.

"Sir, Im sorry. We aren't aloud to let any vistsors in."

He nodded. "Alright..im sorry." He slowly walked out, staying outside the door. Students walked by him, giving him strange looks. He only smiled, waiting for the moment the nurses to become exusaed.

As the night grew into morning, the nurses became calm. He walked in with a sly grin. The nurses were asleep, all of them. Someone on the desks, other in the extra beds. They were busy taking care of Cera all night. Her heart tracker showed a slowed heart rate.

He ran towards her, unhooking her from the wires in her skin then picked her up. With his free right hand, he feed her blood. He knew the blood was in her throat. She was just barely alive.

He shivered as if death called him. Hre pulse immeadily stopped in his arms. He ran quicker this time with no time to waste.

Students were in their room for tonight. It was Sunday after all with a full moon.

After entering his room, he set Cera again. A gasp echoed his ears as he watched her open her eyes then close them again.

He sat down on a chair watching them both. He had a room to himself. He had killed his roomate for blood. Now he regretted it but then again, he could take care of Cera and Kalen without any intruptions.

His gaze turned to Kalen. As if she was never dead, her chest rose and fell with even breaths. She slowly stirred as she opened her eyes slowly. He stood up, making it to her bedside. Cera's bed was on the wall next to her. They were across from each other.

She blinked a couple of times. "Kayden?" She asked quietly.

He looked in her eyes that now had visibly red tints. "W-What happened?" She rubbed her head sitting up.

"I saved you from Mr.Akon." He paused. "But..I saved you before you died. Your a vampire now." He looked at her.

"Thank you." She said grateful, a small smile forming on her face.

He smiled back. He was expecting yelling or crying but a thanks. He would help her. No matter what and he will protect her.
