Kalen eyes widened at she looked at Rolan.
"Y-You what?" She asked shocked not believing her own words. Aaron came besides her and intently looked at Rolan.
"Why?" He asked suddenly.
Rolan sighed. "Because, I feel like I owe you guys." His hands dangled in front of him nervously. "And I know your-."
Kalen's eyes turned a golden red at his words. "How did you know we were supernaturals?" She looked up at Aaron who looked down at her, clutching her tightly.
"When you insisted not to go to the hospital and when I found you sleeping peaceful. Defiantly not in pain."
Aaron leaned in close to him, his golden eyes start to shine. "Did you tell anyone? Does anyone know your gone?" He peeked his head out of the door and gripped Rolan's shoulders tightly to bring him into the house.
Rolan shook his head. "No. No one knows im gone. I have no family. " His voice trembled but he turned his attention towards Kalen who's eyes had went back to normal, as did Aaron's.
"You need to check with Elena." She said hushed as she ran up the stairs, quickly then any hum would.
As if on cue, Elena made her way down the stairs to Rolan but people in the house had turned their attention towards Rolan. A human in a supernatural house. Something that was unusual.
"Ah, dear boy." She flicked her eyes up to him, the blue piecing eyes staring inside of him, reaching into his soul. "I see why you have decided." Her eyes wandered to the living roomy and motioned him to sit.
"Before you want to become a vampire. I want to test you. Blood wise. There are tests that witches can do to prove your trust able. " She pulled out a pocket knife and handed it to Rolan who looked surprised but didn't say anything.
"Now, child. " She down a glass bowl. "Cut yourself."
And he did.
Elena kept a sturdy eyes on him as he did it one fluid motion, barely hesitating. She then, picked up the bowl, chanting quietly.
Nothing happened.
Kalen looked at Aaron then to Elena who set the bowl down and tilted her head to the side. "T-This human you say? W-Where did you find him?" The question was meant for Aaron and Kalen.
Moments of silenced pasted before Aaron spoke up for the both of them. "When Kale ran. She got hit by his car and then he invited us to the stay night to make sure Kalen would heal and yea." He scratched his blonde hair, his other arm snaked around Kalen.
Elena held the bowl more tightly in her hands, as she concentrated on Rolan's blood. She could feel the distress in Jace and Kale as the smell of human blood drifted throughout the house. The world stopped still and she finally set the pull down, then turned directly to Kalen and Aaron. Dustin and Cera joined them.
"He has a good soul." She said happily, a wave of relief passed over her. They didn't need another Dustin. This war was coming to close, she could see the dead bodies in front of her. A shudder cased from her body as she watched their expressions soften.
Kalen was the first to speak. "Who will change him?" She asked softly.
Kayden and Renee came down the stairs, holding hands, if already knowing what this conversation was about. "I think Kalen should." Kayden said confidently. The tone in his voice surprised her as she gave him a brief glance.
Renee smiled, giving an encouraging nod as did Dustin and Cera in unison.
She looked at Aaron, who had now placed a hand on her shoulder. He squeezed it gently then gave her a reassuring kiss. "You deserve this." He said softly. She grasped his hand tightly, before looking up at him, her eyes full of concern and worry.
