Kalen welcomed the darkness but she knew that it wouldnt last forever. There were no dreams or corruption in the silent that had taken hold of her. She thought of Aaron. The last words she heard he had said he wouldnt be leaving her side no matter what, no matter what tolls.

Somehow, she knew that when she woke up, Aaron would be by her side. Teaching her the ways of the wolf and telling her more him. A saviour in her life. An Angel.

Slowly, she let the darkness fade away and open her eyes. Many faces were by her bedside and the one she most saw was Aaron. He gave her a small smile, caressing her cheek softly. Her forehead felt sweaty and the world seem to come together. Before she had fainted, she met the darkness two times before her body was beat.

"Aaron. " She whispered.

He smiled, leaning over gently and giving her a gently kiss. "Kalen." He said back and then sat back down in his chair. He glanced at Elena and everyone else who was behind them, even Jace who looked bewildered and confused. "Could you give us some time, alone?" He pleaded. "Please."

Elena nodded. "Of course." She moved everyone else out of the crowed room and closed the door behind her leaving them too together.

"How do you feel?" He asked after moving his attention back to Kalen.

"I feel different and hungry...my teeth ache and I feel like I just ran a marathon." She told him. She met his pale blue eyes.

Aaron leaned over her once more, this time his neck over her mouth. "Take my blood. " he said stopping Kalen from saying anything else.

Kalen didnt protest and her fangs came out quickly and he bit into the soft flesh into his neck. The blood was sweet and woody. It was a drink full of sugar. Her hand trailed up to hos other side of his neck and gripped it gently. The blood had given her strenth back. She pulled back, exiting his fangs from his neck. Blood dripped from her fangs as she laid back down on the soft pilliow that held her head. Aaron smiled, as she pulled back and the bite mark had already healed by the time she looked back his neck.

Aaron wiped her mouth with a wash cloth of the left over blood on her chin. He looked down at her. "Did it taste good?" He asked curiously wondering what his blood tasted like. The pain of her bits no longer bothered him, to him it was just a prick.

Kalen giggled. "Yes." She answered him kissing him, catching him off guard.

He smiled at her, his fingers trailling her hair line and forehead. "Good." He said relieved.

She looked around and her face grew serious. "W-What happened?" She finally asked.

He sighed, looked down at her. One hand was touching her forehead while the other was squeezing her hand gently. She returned the pressure. "Well, after Annabeth and Rid found us, they took us back to the house. You suddenly froze and fainted. I could feel your pain. It was unbearable. Your screams and how hot you felt...." He choked midway on his words but kept going. "You have been out for about three days. You got a tatto. It was the head of a werewolf or Lycan I guess if they want to call it that on your collarbone. " he explained.

She brought a hand to her throat to her where her collorbone was. She found the tatto near her heart but not completely near it. It shocked her hand slightly but she couldnt imagine why. "Im a werewolf?" She stopped. "No..im a were-vamp. Im a hybrid." She found the words. Suddenly, her dreams clicked together like the finishinf of a puzzle or the turning of a light switch.

Aaron nodded. "Yes." he whispered unable to say anything else, but he squeezed her hand.

"Why me?" She asked quietly. "Theres so much pain and ive lost so much."
