"I want to join the military." John said again.
"Why?" I was in disbelief. John wanted to just leave? We just got married six months ago!
"I want to help protect the country." He said.
"Well I want to become senator when I'm 30 but some dreams are just that, dreams."
"Well I want my dreams to come true. They did when I asked you to marry me, and again the day we got married." John said putting his elbows on his knees.
"I'll miss you."
"And I'll miss you. But I want to help fight for freedom."
"Okay."
"Is that a yes?" He asked expectantly.
"What?"
"I can join the military?" He asked.
"Yeah. But you better not go and get yourself killed." I said.
He stood up and I followed suit. "Yes!" He cheered. "Thank you!" He quickly kissed my cheek.
I just smiled back. He rushed off to our room.
"Love you!" He called before closing the door.
"Mhmm." I hummed quietly. I stood in the lounge in disbelief.
