"Alex, where's the coffee pot?"
I jerked my head off of my desk and quickly wiped the drool from my chin. "Wha-?"
John materialized in the doorway. "The coffee pot?" His eyes drifted to the empty coffee pot sitting on the desk.
"Oh, there it is." He took the pot and left. "Want a cup before I go?"
"Go where?"
"Meeting."
"Okay."
"So is that a yes on the coffee?"
"Uh, yeah."
He brought the coffee pot into the office and poured some into the mug next to my desktop. He was dressed in a suit, carrying a laptop case and a thermos.
"When will you be home?"
"Oh, I don't know, later."
I furrowed my eyebrows. "Okay."
"I gotta run," John said, "See ya, love you."
I stood up, "I'll take the coffee, you go." I said taking the pot. I leaned over for a kiss but John abruptly turned and left quickly.
"Thanks love!"
"You're welcome." I said quietly. The door slammed shut and I sat back down in my chair, putting the coffee pot back on the desk.
