Hey guys. I feel bad about not writing. I didn't know what to write. But you guys deserve a new chapter.
"Alex, sweetheart," Eliza said through the phone. "You have to go home."
As much as I wanted to hang up and stop listening, I stayed on the phone. "Eliza, you know I can't."
"But you can!" She said, almost begging me to go back to John. "You haven't heard his side of the story!"
I cut her off, "There isn't a 'his side' Eliza. There's mine. I am heartbroken. He cheated on me!" I said, tears welling in my eyes.
"Alex that is literally the dumbest thing you have ever said." She said simply.
"Have you heard from him?" I said quietly.
"Yes." She said carefully. As if I would freak out on her.
"How is he?" I said, tears now falling freely onto my tie and my sweater.
"You want the truth?" She asked.
"I wish for nothing less," I said, a small laugh escaping my lips.
"He's bad." She said softly. "He's been drinking and he hasn't seen anyone in weeks."
"I bet he's see-" I started coldly.
Eliza cut me off, "Alexander, you know very well he loves you."
"He wants to leave," I whispered, my voice breaking.
"He changed his mind. He just wants you home." Eliza's voice was soft. "Please go home Alex."
