So, we had done it! We had officially adopted Alana, or as Phil called her, 'his Lana-banana'. As we walked toward the station, I put my arm around Phil's waist and pulled him closer, and he put his arm around me. I bit my lip and winked at him. I always told my viewers it didn't mean anything, but this time it did. He bumped me with his hip, and I bumped him back, and we went on like that for awhile, walking down the road. We reached a small tunnel, and Phil pulled me back into the shadows. As he pressed his lips to mine, I cupped his chin in my hand and when he opened his eyes, I practically fell into those bright blue pools of happiness. "Hey look!" someone shouted from behind us, "it's those faggots from YouTube!" I turned around, my arm still around Phil, to find three teenage boys, and a girl, standing about 10 feet away. "I used to like your videos, but now you're disgusting." Said the girl. "Yeah," one of the boys added,"You guys are gross! Go get a room!" All I wanted to do was beat the crap out of them, right then and there, but I had to stick with Phil. He could tell I was clenching my fists, and, as he put his hand on my back, I tugged him out of there.

Back in the light, the sky was a dusky purple, and we ran to catch the train. Still not saying anything, just holding hands. Once we were one it was so crowded, but we managed to get seats together, in between a sleeping man, and another sleeping man (I swear, everyone on that train was sleeping). It was then that I actually looked at Phil.
His beautiful eyes were glazed over with tears, and it hurt my heart. When we came out as a couple online, there was some hate, but it was easy to brush off. They were just comments and tweets. But this was in real life, directly to our faces. And I think that's why both of us reacted the way we did. "Phil," I said quietly, wiping away his tears with my sleeve, "babe, it's okay. They're just stupid teenagers." He sighed, and said, "I know, but it just made all those comments feel real." I nodded, and put both my arms around him as he leaned on my shoulder.

When we got off the train, the sky was pretty dark, and there were stars in the sky. Quickly though, as we walked through a more residential area, the only light came from streetlights on the corners or lights from people's windows. I shuddered, thinking of what could be lurking in the trees. Now it was Phil's turn to comfort me. He held my hand, and pretty soon we were home anyway. Phil unlocked the door, and turned on the light. "We should do something special for Alana when she comes home tomorrow." I said. "Like what?" "Surprise welcome home party?" I suggested. "I guess so, why not." So, we found some balloons, and a big piece of paper, where we wrote; Welcome home Alana! On it. We didn't know the number of her friend Nellie, so we couldn't invite her, but we did invite Zoe, Alfie, Louise and Darcy, Pj, and Sophie. Luckily, everyone could come, even at such short notice. We decided that Phil would catch her reaction on video, and we would vlog some parts to put in the video where we introduced her.

The next morning, Phil and I both woke up late. Talk about bad timing right?! It was 11:30, and we still had to get ready. I decided the best thing to do was have Phil stay, so he can be here when everyone came. Hurriedly I showered, did my hair, and got dressed, out the door by 12:00 so as not to miss the train. I was jittery all the way there, hoping that Phil would be able to pull off the party. By the time I opened the door to the orphanage, I was nervously sweating, and I'm pretty sure my hair went curly. Evalyn was there, waiting for me, to take me upstairs. "Hello Mr. Howell! Mr. Lester not coming today?" She asked as we climbed the stairs."Erm, no, we're having a surprise welcome home party for Alana." "Oh, I'm sure she'll love it!" "Thanks." I said, still nervous. She turned into a hallway with lots of doors on either side. She stopped at the last one, and knocked.

The door swung open, and I recognized Alana's friend Tanya. "Oh, hi!" She said, "come on in." Alana was lying on her bed on her stomach, feet swinging as she hummed along to her music. She looked up, and smiled. Pulling her earbuds out of her ears, she hopped off the bed and ran over to give me a hug. "Hi! Where's Phil?" "He's at home, he was sleeping late, and just woke up" I lied. She nodded, a little disappointed, but she seemed to get over it pretty quick. "I suppose we'll have to take a couple trips to get your stuff down." Said Evalyn. "Well, my friends can help," she suggested, and they nodded. And so, we went downstairs, somehow, taking the boxes with us. At the foot of the stairs, Alana turned to her friends and thanked them."I'm going to miss you guys so much!" They all smiled, and ran in for a big group hug. They climbed back up the stairs, all waving until they went around the corner. "We're going to have a hard time getting these boxes home, aren't we?" I asked Alana, who nodded. "Nonsense!" Said Evalyn, "I will drive you myself." We climbed into the car, and although it was a little crowded with the boxes, it would be better than walking. I directed Evalyn while Alana stared out the window. Pretty soon we were there, and the two of us each carried two boxes inside. We waved while Evalyn drove off. At the door, I dropped the boxes I was carrying, and opened the door. Once inside, we dropped the boxes next to the door and headed for the lounge. When I turned the lights on, everyone jumped out and yelled, "SURPRISE!" "Oh my god!" Alana yelled as Phil ran over to hug her. "You guys didn't have to do this!" "I know, but it was fun!" Phil told her. "Alana, this is Zoe, Alfie, Pj, Sophie, Louise, and Louise's daughter, Darcy." "Hello Darcy!" Alana said. Darcy ran immediately ran over to her, and showed off her headband, a flower crown made with real flowers. "That's so pretty!" Alana said, kneeling down to Darcy height, "did you do that yourself?" "No, Mommy did it" Darcy pointed at Louise, who walked over and gave Alana a hug. I noticed Alana was still holding her ukulele case, and Pj must have too, because he asked, "Do you play?" She nodded, "I'm not that great though." "What are you talking about?" Phil asked her, "You're great!"

During the party at random points, me or Phil would turn the camera on, like when Pj taught Alana some tips for the ukulele, when she danced in a circle with Zoe and Darcy, or when Alfie gave her some pointlessblog merch. After a couple hours, I realized Alana was probably getting tired, and I think Sophie caught on, because she gave Alana a hug, and said to me, "I think we're going to leave, bye!" Just as she and Pj were heading out the door, Alana ran over and gave them both a hug. Pretty soon, everyone started leaving, and it was just me, Phil, and Alana.

A/N: So, about the kissing scene. Just because it's an adopted by Phanfic, doesn't mean I can't sprinkle in some good old fashioned phan in there, just because they're parents now doesn't mean they can't have fun! Heyoooh! Also, thank you guys so much for just over 100 reads!
