A/N: My neighbors apparently think it's okay to blast music outside at one in the morning. That's why I'm here.
~Alana's pov~
I slept in Phil's bed again, with Nellie, because sleeping in an empty room filled with boxes on the floor is not that fun. To be fair, neither is sleeping in the same bed as Nellie, who always hogs the covers and I woke up in the night, shivering. We talked until about 3 in the morning, until finally even Phil and Dan got annoyed, and yelled through the wall, "Go to bed!" We laughed, and finally we did go to sleep.
In the morning, we slept until about 11:00, and I woke up first, pushing Nellie's shoulder until she said, "Okay, okay, I'm up!" We sat up and chatted for a while, talking about random things, like the softness of Phil's bedsheets (that was Nellie, not me), and how when the sun shone through the window it made strange patterns on the floor. "I'm hungry," I said, "do you want something to eat?" Nellie nodded, and we left the bedroom, only to just head to the lounge, because we were to lazy and not hungry enough to actually bother with food. Dan was sat in the corner of the sofa, Phil between his legs and leaning against his chest, sipping a cup of coffee as the watched anime. "Morning!" Phil said, and I replied "g'morning". I sat in the other corner of the sofa, and Nellie sat between my legs, and we just stared at them, showing them how ridiculous they kinda looked, despite there general cuteness as a couple. Dan noticed us first, and laughed as I raised one eyebrow at him. Phil took his eyes off the screen to see what Dan was laughing about, and laughed so hard he spilled his drink down his shirt. Nellie and I broke out in laughter, and Phil, jumping up, said, "It's not funny! I'm seriously injured, this is hot!"I only laughed harder, and Nellie stood up, so we didn't have to sit in that awkward position anymore. Dan, still laughing too, got up and took the cup from Phil, saying, "Come on, let's clean you up!" And he pulled Phil towards the bathroom. Nellie and I lapsed into another fit of giggles, nearly crying.
When they came back, Phil was dressed, and probably less sticky, but smelled strongly of coffee. "You hungry?" Dan asked, "cause I was thinking waffles?" "Waffles!" Nellie and I shouted in unison, running into the kitchen and then back again. Eating waffles has always been difficult for me. Well, not always, but since I was growing my hair out. Unless I put it in a bun (something I hate because it puts so much weight on my neck), I will, inevitably, get the tips of my hair covered in syrup. Which is just what happened today, as I leaned forward to take a bite, Phil put his hand on my hair, trying to keep it from touching. "Phil, you don't have to do that, it's going to get syrupy no matter what." He sighed and put his hand down. "It was worth a try." Nellie shook her head, "Believe me, I try every time. Nothing helps." Dan laughed, "So glad I don't have that problem!" "Consider yourself lucky" I said, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear but getting syrup on my face in the process.
After breakfast (and cleaning up), then getting dressed, we went upstairs to try to sort out all my stuff. My clothes and boxes were placed in one corner, my bedding in another, and my un-assembled furniture in the third. We started with the bed, as that was most important. "Connect the headboard to the side pieces at the same time as you connect the baseboard." Nellie was reading us the instructions as Phil and I put the pieces together and Dan was "overseeing" the whole thing, but really just telling us if it was level, or connected properly. The bed was actually easiest, all we had to do was slide the general frame together and then put in the slats to hold the mattress up. We put the mattress on the bed, and just as I was putting the sheets on with Nellie on the opposite end so they didn't come off, the doorbell rang, and we ran downstairs, Nellie to get her bag, and me to answer the door. I opened it, surprised to see Pj, and not one of Nellie's parents. "Oh, hi Alana," he said, seeming distracted. "Is Phil here?" I nodded, "Yeah, he's in the lounge probably. Is everything alright?" "What? Oh, yeah, everything's fine. He's in the lounge you said?" I nodded again, closing the door behind him and following him to the lounge, where Nellie was sitting, talking with Phil. Dan was probably off trying to put together my wardrobe or something, most likely failing miserably without Phil's help. Nellie and Phil looked up, the former surprised not to see her parents, but she got over it pretty quickly, following me back up to my room. As we left, I heard Phil saying, "Hey Peej, what's up?" and Pj answering quietly, "Phil, I need to tell you something." I didn't think anything of it, and when I opened my door, we found Dan standing near the wall, trying to balance three pieces of my wardrobe at once, while screwing them together. We ran over, steadying the pieces, and once it was put together, Dan stood up and brushed his hands on his trousers, "I think that's enough for today!"
Back in the lounge, Pj had left, and we sat for a while, not really saying anything, just watching the tv, but not paying any attention to it. The doorbell rang for the second time today, and Phil got up from his place next to Dan to answer it. "Nellie! You're dad is here!" Nellie hopped up and grabbed her bag, gave me and Dan each hugs, and left quickly for her piano lesson. Phil spoke first after the door closed, "So, we want to film an introduction video of you to our viewers, and I was thinking maybe we could film it in your room? Just sitting on the bed so you couldn't see the rest of the room." "Sure, that would be cool. I just have to finish making the bed first." I went upstairs, and finished putting the sheets on, then the pillowcases, and finally my duvet. I arranged it all nicely, then ran downstairs. The lounge was empty, so I checked Dan's room first, after peeping into the kitchen. The door was closed (A/N: *unnecessary eyebrow wiggling* sorry Nellie-Loves-Llamas , took that from you!), so I knocked. "You can come in!" Phil was lying with his head on Dan's chest, while Dan played with his hair. "Erm, I, uh, made my bed and stuff." Dan smiled, and they both sat up, and Phil grabbed the camera on its tripod while Dan handed me a light and carried one himself. Once we had got everything set up upstairs, I had an idea. "What if in the beginning, like when you're doing the intro I could be out of frame, but then you could introduce me when I got up?" Phil nodded, "That sounds good. I actually didn't really write anything to say for the video. I thought we could just see what happens." Dan and Phil settled on the bed, with enough space in between them, and I sat cross legged on the floor, just out of frame. "Hey guys!" Phil started the video, "so, obviously I'm here with Dan-" "Hi" Dan waved. Phil continued, "but there's someone else I want you to meet." "Yeah you might be wondering where we are. We're actually in Alana's room!" Dan pulled me up onto the bed. "Hi!" I waved to the camera. "This is Alana, obviously, she's our daughter! When Dan and I told you guys about being together, we started thinking about adopting. We initially thought we wanted a baby, but Alana was to amazing for us to ignore her!" I hugged Phil, "Yeah, so when I came home, they threw a surprise party for me, so here's that." Phil would edit in the clips later. "I guess that's all we really need to tell you, bye! Dan and I waved too, and Phil turned the camera off. "I can't believe we did that in one take! That's crazy!"
A/N: I know only like 4 people I don't know irl read this, but is anyone going to tatinof USA? I'm really excited for it!
