Chapter twenty one - Pilots

~Alana's pov~

"Hey Alana!"

I turned around in the crowded hall, looking for the source of my name. Noah appeared at my side, and together we walked to art. He had an annoying habit of walking or standing directly next to you, and being as short as he was, it was always really hard to keep eye contact, or even look at him in any way.

"Hey Noah"

He looked at me, "You kay?"

I shrugged, "Eh"

Noah wasn't the best with emotions so I just left it at that. Then he said, "So erm, I was wondering if maybe you'd go out with me?"

"Excuse me?"

I was caught way off guard, and almost tripped through the doorway of the our art room. "Oh, uh, see, the thing is that I'm not actually sure if Dan and Phil will let me date? So maybe you could give me your number and I'll text you?" He nodded, and I pulled out my phone, opened a new contact, and handed it to him. I took his phone and put my number in, and we proceeded to art. It was mostly normal, but there was a bit of awkward tension between me and Noah, and, as Addie pointed out, he was being unusually quiet.

"Noah asked me to go out with him, that's why he's acting so weird." I may have laughed a bit. Oops.

"What did you say?" Destiny had a suggestive look on her face.

"I said I'm not sure, because Dan and Phil never said I could date. I mean, they didn't say I can't, so I have to ask."

"Oh." Destiny looked disappointed, and I couldn't help but laugh. Just then, my phone buzzed, it was Phil.

Phil: do you want to come to up north with me and meet my family this weekend? you've got mon and tues off

Alana: y u txting meh at school?

P: y u answetring?

P: *answering

A: bc we can use our phones in art sum times

P: as long as you don't get in trouble, i still can't believe you got a detention your first day

A: Oml plez dont bring that up

A: yeah i'll come meet your, or I guess my (now), family

A: Dad coming?

P: I think so

P: I'll alk to you when you get home

P: *talk omfg

A: hey btw, weird question...?

P: wat

A: am i allowed to date? cuz, like...

P: oh yeah whatever

A: oh watever? guess i'll be over here with my hard drugs and strippers then

P: agh nvm

A: : )

A: bai

P: bye

I put my phone back in my pocket and went back to my sketch of a girl riding a unicorn into the sunset. Just because it was realism it didn't have to be realistic. Well, it probably did, but the art teacher was pretty cool with whatever we wanted to make.

"Who was that?" Lily snatched my eraser and I swatted her head.

"Just Phil, he wants to take me to meet his family."

Addie nodded and asked, "Dud you ask him about dating?" She winked.

"Oh, he said yes."

"Soooooooooooooooooooooooo?"
Destiny dragged out the 'so' like her life depended on it.

"Yeah, sure I'll go out with you"

~magical time skip to dinner~

"... So I was thinking if we leave at around noon then we get there in time for me to show you around before it gets dark but also put our stuff away." Phil was planning the trip over dinner while Dan and I probably ate more food than we should have. I nodded, "Yeah that sounds good," as I reached across the table for a napkin. I failed miserably as I fell out of my chair and brought it down with me.

"Lana did you just pull a Dan?" Dan stood up from his side of the table.

"If that's what you wanna call it, then yes I pulled a Dan."

A/N: Sorry for such a short chapter but I haven't updated in a while and I felt like putting something out. And now we hit 700+ reads. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! *Jumps around while you stare at me bc im a weirdo* Btw plz do the vote and comment thingy, it means a lot! Oh!
