I'm IN LOVE with PIXL's new song Sadbot; it grew on me by the second time I listened to it and now I can't get over how incredible the melody is. I wanted to do fanart for it using Predictbot as soon as I heard it in Podcast 099. I let it simmer in my mind a little bit and eventually came up with this two-part thing including Monstercat. I got to thinking so hard about the concept for it and the fact that robots are actually cold and emotionless started hitting me pretty deep...because what if they were sad, but they could never cry? Anyway, I depicted PredictBot as being depressed in this. I didn't put a ton of work into it and now I regret using only Rose Art® pencils to shade the dirt in the first part (although I do like the colors the tree got), but that's okay because the rest of it is pretty solid. I really like both the way Monstercat looks and the way I drew PredictBot in the second part. I shaded PredictBot using a silver Prismacolor | Premier® pencil, and I absolutely LOVE the metallic look that pencil gives. PredictBot's blue circles in the first picture, and Monstercat's tear in the second, were both done with the same blue gel pen. I like the color I gave Monstercat's bandanna in the second picture too, which is Rose Art® Purple. I think Monstercat's and PredictBot's companionship is pretty cute and I love the way it's shown in this. Maybe it'll even inspire me to write this out as a oneshot in the future, who knows...
