My homeschool group put on an art fair today and I won 1st place in both the drawing and photography categories for my age group (there were also painting, woodworking, and multimedia categories which I didn't enter into). I'm so happy that I won since I spent hours on the shading for my drawing and now I totally feel like it was worth the effort. I'm glad someone else recognized the beauty in the winter scene I photographed as well. It means a lot for others to enjoy and be inspired by my art.
