Drawn 1/23/16-1/24/16
I've gotten a lot more into drawing humans since my previous phase of drawing cats. This drawing features several Monstercat vocalists, singing uplifting songs of their own from the label to my friend Seraph, who is sitting on a pink cloud in the center. I tried a new, slightly more cartoonish style of drawing humans for this since I wanted to knock it out quickly. It still naturally became a bit more detailed than what I was going for, but I love it nonetheless. I used a bit of reference for the three characters on the left side. I'm proud of how all of them look, and this is my first drawing of Tristam I actually feel good about. (He's way harder to draw than you would imagine...at least, for me.)
This is the first drawing I've posted from my new sketchbook!! It's 8x10" and was given to me by a friend of my dad's. I am so happy I got it, because sometimes I need a canvas that's bigger than my usual drawing notebook but not as big as a full sheet of paper. This fits perfectly in the middle.
Seraph, don't be afraid to be happy and be yourself. Nothing is stopping you. You can set the world on fire. (Good gosh, I just got chills from that song again...)Features: EMEL (top left, Stronger); Jonny Rose (center left, Downhearted); Richard Caddock (bottom left, Orbit); Razihel (bottom, Edge of the World); Laura Brehm (bottom right, We Won't Be Alone); Tristam (center right, Far Away); Danyka Nadeau (top right, We Are)
