Tom's POV
I am,as of this moment, determined to find out what kind of flowers those are, seems it'd really caught Julia's attention. I've showed her everywhere, every inch of this school. Currently,we're sitting down on a wooden bench just outside of the school, waiting for her friend to pick her up. She was talking about her last day in London. She said she'd carry a camera with her everywhere she goes from now on. She's going to spend everyday with the people she loves. Secretly, I was hoping that I was included in that last statement. It hurt me to hear her talk about her last day in London. As much as it did,I forced myself to hold in the anger that was raging inside. Angry that she wouldn't be here anymore and I can't do anything about it.
As soon as she finished talking, a car came up. A girl with brightly coloured hair came out of the car and walked towards us. She had a smile,so big on her face. Julia jumped up and screamed, running towards her. Marie,I think that's her name. My memory is the worst. I watched in curiosity. Why on earth was she screaming like a murderer was stabbing her friend a billion times? Julia held her shoulders firmly and shook her back and forth, this time she was squealing.
"Marie!" She exclaimed.
"Julia." Marie said calmly but with excitement.
I walked up to the car, seeing the lad that Julia's friends with. The lad that I thought was her boyfriend but thank the heavens, isn't. He came out of the car when he saw me coming, he walked around the car and leaned against the door.
"Say,do you have any idea why Julia's screaming?" I asked, hoping he'd give me a rational answer.
"They're girls, what do you expect?" He said simply but I was still confused. "Marie. She dyed her hair. If you didn't remember, she had purple hair before, now it's a mixture of both"
"That's what they're screaming about?" I gestured to them. He shrugged casually.
Not too far away,I heard Julia say,"The whole time I was here, you had time to dye your hair freaking blue?" An enormous smile on her face.
"Well," she smirked,flipping her hair.
"Girl, you're dangerous." Julia smirked back, linking her arm with hers, walking to the car. I rolled up the sleeves of my white collared shirt, adjusting my tie.
"For your information, it's not entirely blue." Marie pointed out as they reached us.
"You're so brave,I've only gone as far as to dye my hair pink. I'm too chicken to go darker." She said, twisting around her pink hair with her fingers.
I've honestly never noticed this about her. What the hell,Tom? Shouldn't it be obvious? I've literally met her not too long ago and have been spending the while afternoon with her. But clearly I'm too blind and too focused on her face. Wait, she didn't have pink hair when I'd first met her. She must've dyed it when we lost touch. She looks like a goddess. I stared at her absentmindedly, taking in her beauty. In all honesty, she'd look beautiful in any hair colour. Pink was just the beginning. Well, that's what I think.Julia said a few mumbled words to her friends before coming towards me while they waved to me and went into their car. Julia smiled. Smiled the sweetest smile anyone could ever possess. Sweeter than any berry, maybe. Then, she took me into a friendly embrace. I stiffened slightly at first, shocked. I soon softened up and told myself to stop hesitating then returned the hug, wrapping my arms around her small waist. She released me saying," Thanks for hanging with me today."
I didn't say anything.
I didn't know what to say anymore. It's like this is her last day but I know for sure that it isn't. It just feels like it. And I hate this feeling more than anything.
"I'll text you later?" I said.
"Sure," she smiled, then slowly began to make her way over to the car. I quickly moved and opened the door for her. I blushed when our hands collided gently. "Thank you." When she got in,I shut the door firmly but not too hard.
Brady turned his head sideways and gave me a nod with a small smile. I nodded back as Marie waved like a queen and said,"Farewell,Tom!"
I saw Julia sighing and laughing quietly to herself in the back seat because of Marie. As they were about to take off,I immediately remembered to say,"Julia, seat belt." She rolled her eyes and did as told. Her friends threw their hands into the air with frustration.
"Oh,him you listen to?" Brady said.
"We've been telling her to put on her seat belt for like a gazillion times." Said Marie.
"Sorry," Julia sheepishly said.
"Hmm," Brady narrowed his eyes into the rearview mirror.
"See you whenever, Tom. Thanks for today." She said quickly before taking off.
Julia Sanderson, you make me wonder so much about you.
Author's Note
I've changed a few things in Chapter 15 and 16. I changed Zoe. Well, made her 11 years old not 5 years old. And changed Juls time left in London to about 3 months because I want her to spend more time there and also because I felt like 1 month is too much peer pressure. That's all,I think? Thank you for reading :)
