Twenty three

Vic's POV

Wednesday. Taylor's birthday, midway through our mini vacation. Im not nervous about tonight. Okay scratch that, I'm terrified about tonight. What if she says no? Or that I rushed it? What if I'm not ready? What about when I go on tour? Millions of questions wrapped around my head while I stood in the bathroom.
Today we were all gonna to to the stores and shop around then maybe go to a beach since we haven't yet.
I kept looking at myself in the mirror for some reason.
'dam Vic don't you look like a piece of shit this morning' my reflection told me.
"Shut up!" I yelled at it.
"Vic? You okay bro?" Mike asked.
"What? Uh yeah. yeah I'm uh fine just getting ready" I turned on the tap and splashed cold water on my face again. I dried my face and then put on my red SD tank with black skinny jeans that I cut to my knees. Don't judge I was bored one day. I still don't know why I cut my favourite pair but oh well too late. I sprayed myself with my cologne before stepping out to see all the boys in my room. When I got in it was just Mike and Alex.

"What happened in there?" Tony asked
"Nothing why?" I slipped on no show socks and my black and white vans.
"You sounded like you were yelling at someone" Mike added. I went to my bag and grabbed my sunglasses and a SnapBack.
"Nah I'm fine guys. Where's the girls?"
"My room" Jaime spoke up.
"You can only have one girl Hime" Tony sassed.
"No. They're all mine. Forever!" He got up from the bed and ran out the door down the hall. We all got up and went out. I grabbed my wallet and phone before shutting the door behind me. I pulled out the keys from my wallet and locked the door before running to catch up with the guys.

The girls were in a shoe shop looking at sandals and shit while Tony, Alex and Jaime were renting wet suits and I looked at surf boards. My little brother came up to me and cleared his throat addressing he was here.
"What actually happened in the bathroom Vic? It wasn't nothing and you better not lie to me"
"Just talking to my reflection again" I said quietly hoping he didn't hear.
"What?" He asked. Out of everything about me, one thing Mike doesn't know is that my reflection basically talks to me when I'm nervous or scared or something which is why before shows I don't go to the bathroom, look in the mirror or want to see my reflection because it'll say things to make me even more nervous or put me down. It's been like this since I was about 15. Basically when things got rough in school.
"Not now Mike. Today is a big day and i don't wanna ruin it"
"No you're gonna tell me" he protested raising his voice.
"Michael. Enough with your bullshit" I said calmly.
"How does your fucking reflection talk to you?" He whisper yelled.
"It just does okay? Why do you think I avoid my reflection before shows or when I'm nervous"
"And you never told me?!" He kept his tone low but I knew he was mad.
"No. Now stop asking me questions" he sighed and looked at boards.
"How long has this been going on for" he asked after a few minutes of silence
"Since I was about 15. Now drop it" and I walked off and out of the shop. The girls were sitting at a table that had a big umbrella in the middle. I sat down beside Tay and pulled her into my side.

"What'd you buy birthday girl?"
"Just a cute towel and new shoes for tonight since someone won't let me wear the ones I have on" she said looking at Alysha who gave her a childish smile. I looked under the table to see she was wearing black sandals.
All the guys joined us after a while and turns out for some odd reason we aren't allowed to go surfing today so we're doing it tomorrow.

Taylor's POV

We were walking down the streets of Palm Springs as a huge group with Alex on Mike's shoulders so he could be the 'look out for bad guys' like he said. The boys occasionally got stopped by fans for photos but they didn't mind. Whenever the kids are around, whether they're having a shitty day or a great one, they always make it better.
"I love the smiles on their faces when they take photos with the kids" Jess spoke.
"It's adorable" Erin added. Alysha and I agreed with them simply because it's true.
"It's funny because I remember a few kids when I see them. Some of them have been fans since the boys started the band and others have joined their fandom as the years went on" Jess continued.
"I still find it adorable how you and Hime have been together since high school" Alysha cooed causing her to blush and look down.
"Awe Jess is blushing!" I called her out making her cover her eyes with her hands.
"Shush"
"Girls" Mike called. We all faced them.
"These lovely ladies wanna take a photo with all you's" Mike took the blonde girls phone and us four plus the three girls took a photo together.
"Thank you" the red headed girl said. We all said your welcome and then they left.

It was now 3:30 and we were all in our rooms getting ready for tonight. Vic made reservations for 5 and that's just an hour and a half away so since I took a while to do my make up, I'm just gonna curl my hair like how I would when I was teaching.
Once I was done, I changed from the clothes I was wearing all day to a short black dress with thin straps. I also put on the heels Alysha forced me to buy and left the bathroom. The shoes were actually really cute but I'm not much of a heels person.
It was now four so I got out of the bathroom and Vic ran in to piss and change. He had dressed Alex in jeans, a white v neck, all black vans and a light jacket for the night time.
"Wow look at my handsome boy" I said going over to my bag to get some earrings.
"You look beautiful mommy" he said. I turned around and faced my son who was sitting on the bed watching tv.
"Thank you baby" just then Vic left the bathroom in grey skinny jeans, black and white vans, and a white button up shirt that he left untucked and rolled up to his elbows.
"My my my don't you look handsome mister" I said walking over to him. He pulled me into his body and wrapped his arms around me.
"And you look very sexy this evening"
"That's cooties!" Alex yelled running up to us breaking us apart. We both just laughed at him and Vic picked him up. I took his phone from his back pocket and walked to the full length mirror in our room. Vic came beside me and I took a photo of us three sending it to myself after. I handed him the phone back and smiled at him before grabbing my purse and putting my phone in it.

We all met up in the lobby and walked out into the parking lot getting into our cars and leaving to the restaurant.
Once we got there, I saw Vic hand Mike something, probably a condom so I shook it off and got out. We headed inside this fancy looking place and Vic went up to the front with us following him.
"Hi uh reservations for Fuentes" he said formally making me snort. He's never formal. Mike looked at me and tried to hide a laugh.
"Uh yes. Victor? Party of 8 plus a child?" The lady asked. He nodded and she pulled out eight menus and a child one and made us follow her to a table.
Alex sat at the head while Vic sat to his left and me beside him. Across us was Mike and Alysha then beside Alysha was Tony and Erin. Jaime say beside me and Jess sat beside him since he doesn't like sitting at the end.
Soon a young brunette, Probably 19 or so came up to our table.
"Hi everyone. I'm Mandy and I'll be your waitress for this evening. What can I get you all to drink?" She asked. Mike cleared his throat and looked between all of us.
"Apple juice for this little guy, and since it's a special night, 8 glasses of wine please" the girl nodded and wrote down our drinks.
"What's the occasion?" She asked looking back at Mike.
"Her birthday" he pointed to me. She smiled
"Well happy birthday" I thanked her and then she left to get the drinks.
"That's not the only occasion" I heard Tony mumble to Alysha making her giggle and nod her head.

The girl came back and then we ordered our food.
We were all laughing and talking and just overall enjoying the night. We took a few photos.
"We'll be back" Vic announced as him and his brother got up from the table. I looked at everyone who was just looking at me.
"What?" I asked.
"Nothing" Jaime said slinging his arm around me.
Not even five minutes later, they came back and Mike sat down. Vic sat down facing me but soon moved his chair and got down on one knee. He pulled out a ring box and opened it. Tears came to my eyes as I realized what was happening.

"Taylor. These past few months have been on wile ride along with the years before this. But one things for sure is that I never stopped loving you. Not even after you left with our son" he looked back at Alex who was now in Mike's lap smiling at us. He then looked back at me.
"Taylor Cole. I love you so much and I never ever ever ever wanna loose you. Again. I wanna spend the rest of my life with you babe. What I'm saying is. Tay, will you marry me?" I wiped the tears away and nodded. He smiled an even bigger smile and slid the ring onto my finger. He got up and so did I and he pulled me into him. We shared a passionate kiss and the room erupted with cheers from other people at their tables.

It was now 9:30 and all of us were heading to the parking lot to find our cars.
"I'm so happy for you two!" Jess squealed hugging me once more once we got to the cars.
"Thank you Jess" I hugged her tightly and smiled. We then all got into our cars and headed back to the hotel.

I've been waiting for this moment since I started the book. Their finally engaged!
