sage was late to pick me up. i had been standing out front for 10 minutes before she finally came. luca was in the back seat today, and augustus next to him. "hey, nerd!" sage shouted as i climbed into the car. i said my hellos to the three of them, and then turned to sage.
"why are they here?" i whispered so only she could hear.
"augustus spent the night at lucas without his mum knowing, and they needed a ride so they could both get to school without lucas mum knowing." she whispered back. then she pushed on the gas pedal and drove us to school.

ashley wasnt there. neither was harlequin. or X. or benson. or charlie. augustus and i were the only ones at school today and neither of us knew why.
the moment the bell rang after pre calc i got a tumblr notification on my phone.
