Chapter 3 - Exchange

"This what happen when I think about you, I get in my feelings."

Adonis was in his apartment cleaning while Kobe was on the couch playing a video game. Adonis hated cleaning but somebody has to do it. He lived alone.

"You could help, nigga. Since you want to run my electricity bill," Adonis said.

"This your house, ain't it?" Kobe asked.

"Whatever."

"Aye, you busy this weekend?"

"Why?"

"Liv Nightclub gon be lit this weekend and I wondered if you wanted to go with me?"

"No."

"Why?"

"Saturday my only off day, nigga. I don't want to spend at no fucking club."

"Where else? C'mon you gotta come."

"Nah I'm straight."

"C'mon you've been single for how long? Nigga, you only got one hoe

"First of all, unlike you I don't keep hoes in my phone. Second of all, Megan is my main hoe and I like she got so I go over time and time. That is all."

"Whatever. You coming or not?"

"I'll go but I'm driving us there so when I'm ready to go then we leaving."

"A'ight that sound cool."

"You betta hope this night end well for me."

"It will. I'll be your wingman."

"No thanks."

Kobe was in the car driving home from staying at Adonis's house all day. When he received a phone call from his girlfriend. He sighed and answered it.

"I did it, Calista," Kobe said

"Yay! I got Nebbie to come too," Calista said.

"I don't know. I don't really like minding other people's business. Especially their business I mean they haven't seen each other from two years," Kobe explained.

"I know but I know Nebbie and I know she not happy. She got all the money yet nobody that's loving her and I know she misses him," Calista said.

"I know Don, too. He not happy either but I just don't want him to be mad at me."

"He might be a little upset but he'll thank in the long run."

"I hope so."

"You know the plan, right? Or do I need to re-explain it to you?"

"Nah, I know it."

"C'mon don't be like that. I told you gon get a reward afterwards."

"I want a lap dance too."

"Ok daddy. I'll give you one." Kobe smiled. Truth is Kobe has been with Calista for a ear and they have even met each other parents.The only people who don't about their relationship is Nebbie and Adonis. They didn't want their relationship to interfere with their friendship.

"Well I gotta go. I love you."

"I love you, too. Bye." They both hung up the phone and Kobe went on home. He didn't like the idea of setting them up. He felt as if he might be meddling with his life. He just hope he doesn't get his ass beat in the end. At the end of the day, Adonis is unhappy and hasn't been for awhile and all he wants is to see his friend smile and not be sad all the time. Was that too much to ask?
