Chapter 14 - Pretend Parents
Adonis was picking Gigi from Kyle's house today because Kyle and his fiance, Faith, were going out of town and needed a babysitter. Adonis knocked on the door and Kyle opened it.
"Hey Adonis, I got all her stuff in the corner," Kyle said to him. Adonis looked in the corner ad saw 2 huge duffel bags. Adonis grabbed them both and put them in his car trunk.
"I think I got everything," Adonis said to him. Kyle had Gigi in her arms.
"Are you ready to go, Gigi?" Kyle asked her. Gigi shook her head and held Kyle tightly on his neck. "C'mon you get to hang out with Adonis for a whole week." Gigi held her hands out to Adonis and Adonis picked her up.
"Bye daddy," Gigi said to Kyle. Adonis put her in the car seat.
"Be safe out there," Adonis told Kyle as he dapped his hand.
"I mean if another baby happens..." Kyle said. Adonis rolled his eyes.
"I'm not finna be watching all your kids, Kyle," Adonis said.
"But Kobe can't watch kids. You and I know this," Kyle said.
"I know but still," Adonis said.
"Well, I'll be back in a week take good care of her," Kyle said.
"No doubt." Adonis got in the car and drove off. "So where do you want to go?" Adonis asked Gigi.
"Swings!" Gigi said. Adonis called up Nebbie.
"Baby, What you doing?" Adonis asked as she answered.
"I'm watching Nolan. You got Gigi, yet?" Nebbie asked.
"Yeah, I'm coming to get you and Nolan. Let's go to the park," Adonis said.
"Alright, I love you," Nebbie said.
"I love you, too," Adonis said.

"Higher!" Gigi exclaimed as Adonis pushed her on the swings. Nebbie and Nolan enjoyed the slide together. Nebbie picked him up and brought him on the swings. Nebbie sat him next to Gigi and began to push him.
"I don't like him," Nolan said to Nebbie. Nebbie giggled.
"I don't like you, either. We made that pretty clear," Adonis said. Gigi looked at Adonis and glared at him.
"Don't be mean," Gigi said to Adonis.
"He was mean to me," Adonis said to her.
"But you're older," Gigi said.
"She is right," Nebbie said. Adonis scoffed. He picked up Nolan.
"Let's call it a truce, ok," Adonis said.
"I want juice!" Nolan said to him.
"No...truce! Let's just be friends," Adonis said.
"Fine, but Nebs is mine," Nolan said.
"Nebs is mine," Adonis said.
"I was there first," Nolan said.
"No, you weren't!" Adonis said.
"How about we eat at Chick-fil-a?" Nebbie asked.
"Yay!" Gigi exclaimed.

Nebbie sat next Gigi in the booth across from Adonis and Nolan. Even though Adonis and Nolan constantly fight, Nolan liked Adonis because they would play wrestle. Gigi really liked Nebbie because Nebbie was sweet to her plus her body was soft for Gigi to lay on. They were all eating and joking about each other.
"I want to play!" Gigi exclaimed.
"Sure and take Nolan with you," Nebbie said. They took off their shoes and went into the playroom to go play.
"They're good kids," Adonis said.
"I wish you would stop fighting with Nolan," Nebbie said.
"I'm just playing with him. That's how we communicate," Adonis said.
"Mhmm," Nebbie said.
"Nebbie don't do that. I like him the little kid," Adonis said.
"You take really good of the kids," Nebbie said.
"So do you Nebbie...we're great parents," Adonis said. Nebbie looked down remembering Nyla. Nebbie, even though, she was scared to have a baby she would've done anything for her daughter. "Nebbie...look at me. You made me a father even if it was for just 3 minutes." Adonis wiped the tear that was coming out of her eye.
"I love you," Nebbie said to him.
"I love you, too. Now let's go get these kids," Adonis said to her. Nebbie smiled. One day...one day.
