Chapter 15 - Just Kids

Nebbie got up listening to Solange while cooking breakfast for Adonis and the kids. She decided to make Belgian waffles, turkey sausage, and scrambled eggs. She was dancing to the beat while putting the batter in the waffle maker.

"Hey yo Hey yo Hey yo," Nebbie sang along to Where Do We Go. Then she heard small footsteps coming from the bedroom. Gigi had a teddy bear to her side and held her hands out to be held. Nebbie picked her up and began to cook with her.

"Egg," Gigi said as she pointed at one.

"Yeah, you want to crack it?" Nebbie asked her and she nodded her head. Nebbie gave her the egg and she cracked the egg on the counter. Nebbie laughed. "You crack it in the bowl. Like this." Nebbie cracked the egg in the bowl and Gigi tried to mimic it but missed the bowl. "You know what let me crack eggs."

Adonis was left in the bed sleep with Nolan while the Nebbie was cooking. Nolan got up and climb on Adonis's back and started pulling his dreads.

"Nebbie...get off me...we got kids in the house," Adonis said in his sleep. Nolan yanked on his dreads causing Adonis to wake up. Adonis grabbed Nolan and hanged him upside down.

"AHHH!" Nolan screamed. Adonis placed him back on the back and Nolan grabbed him by the neck and started hitting him in the face. Adonis grabbed and lightly hitting him in the back. Adonis grabbed Nolan's arms and held him by his sides.

"Look her Lil nigga! I don't want to fight you so when I let you go you'll keep your hands to yourself," Adonis said.

"Say Nebbie is mine," Nolan said. Adonis smiled.

"Nebbie is mine," Adonis said. Nolan head but him in the stomach causing Adonis to let him go. Nolan hit him in the stomach and Adonis picked him up and held him upside. Then Nebbie came in with Gigi on her hip.

"What's going on?" Nebbie asked.

"Breakfast is ready!" Gigi exclaimed.

"Yay food!" Nolan exclaimed and ran off to the kitchen. Adonis got up heavy breathing trying to catch his breath.

"What you do?" Nebbie asked.

"He woke me up trying to fight me," Adonis said.

"Mhmm," Nebbie murmured.

"Ok, so what shape is this?" Adonis said while holding a flashcard with a square on it.

"Square!" Nolan and Gigi both said.

"I just got a call from Jessica she says she's on her way," Nebbie said.

"Same thing from Kyle," Adonis said to Nebbie. Nebbie gathered their stuff in the corner. She heard a knock and opened her door to see Kyle and Faith at their door.

"Mommy! Daddy!" Gigi exclaimed as she ran to her parents.

"Hey! I miss you, baby," Kyle said as he picked her up.

"Thanks so much Nebbie and Adonis," Faith said as she gave them both a hug.

"Y'all had fun?" Adonis asked.

"Yeah, we're engaged," Faith exclaimed. Nebbie clapped her hands with excited.

"Congratulations!" Adonis said.

"A'ight we off thanks again," Kyle said.

"Anytime," Adonis said as they walked out. "Now where are your parents?" Adonis asked Nolan. Nolan stuck his tongue out at him. Nebbie heard another knock on the door and opened to Jessica and Taurus.

"Hey, Nolan!" Taurus said as he picked him up.

"Daddy! and Mommy!" Nolan said.

"So how was he?" Jessica asked.

"Bad as he-" Adonis began.

"He was a good boy," Nebbie said as she gave Jessica a hug.

"Thanks again, sis. I love you," Jessica said as they left. Nebbie sighed as she spread out on the couch. Adonis sat next to her as they cuddled on the couch.

"That was a tiring week," Nebbie said.

"I agree you want to get away," Adonis said.

"Ohh like Hawaii," Nebbie suggested.

"You just trying to see me shirtless?" Adonis asked.

"We can go to the virgin islands," Nebbie said.

"I don't know why not Greece a cultural place," Adonis said.

"Ok, how about Rome?" Nebbie asked.

"Amsterdam is my dream vacation," Adonis said.

"You only want to go for weed," Nebbie said.

"No there are other reasons like Anne Frank's House and...Van Gogh," Adonis said.

"Ok...let's go!"

"I'm serious Nebbie!"

"Me too, Donnie!" Adonis gave her a kiss.

"Ok, I'll book it you be ready."
