Chapter 4 - Memories Faded

Adonis was on his way to Kyle's house. Last Night still lingers in his head because her scent of cocoa and shea butter were present in his car still. It only made him miss her even more. He still cared about her enough take her home so she wouldn't be left alone. Adonis got out the car and knocked on the door. He waited for a few minutes before the door was opened by Faith, Kyle's girlfriend. She had Gigi on her hip.

"Hey Adonis," She greeted.

"Hey, Faith. Where's kyle?" Adonis asked. She rolled her eyes.

"He's in the living room," She said. Adonis went into the townhouse and into the living room where Kyle was and he was on the couch watching football and Adonis sat next to him.

"You must've made Faith mad?" Adonis asked.

"She thinks I'm hiding something from her," Kyle said.

"Are you?"

"Yeah..."

"What?" Kyle looked around and Faith was in Gigi's room playing with her.

"Gigi birthday coming up and I'm taking us to DisneyWorld."

"Really!?"

"Shh...Yeah I'm taking us and then I got a ring for Faith. I'm gon marry her."

"YOU GON MA-"

"Shut the fuck up!"

"Sorry I'm just happy for you."

"Thanks. So what's going with you?"

"My medical marijuana came into the mail so I can smoke it legally now."

"Congrats."

"Nah but I saw Nebbie last night and it really screwed me up."

"Really? Did you speak to her?"

"Yeah and then her friend left her so I had to take her home."

"Was it awkward?"

"Awkward as fuck but she slipped and called me Donnie."

"That means she still loves you."

"I don't know she got a boyfriend. I'm not into being a side nigga."

"I'm not saying you should kiss her. Y'all need to talk."

"I guess. Maybe If I find out why she left me I could get over her."

"Or...you might get back with her."

"Don't get my hopes up."

Nebbie met up with Jessica and Nolan at AppleBee's. Nebbie was so excited to see Nolan as he was to see her. He had a little crush her. He sat next to her instead of his mommy but Jessica didn't mind.

"So guess what I went through last night," Nebbie said.

"Ooh I'm sensing some drama and I'm excited," Jessica said.

"Well I went to the club with Calista and th-"

"Ugh her."

"I somewhat agree with you but back to the story. So I go there and I'm just chilling by the bar and then guess who comes and talks to me."

"Me!" Nolan interrupted.

"No, not you sweetie," Nebbie said.

"Um...your dad," Jessica guessed.
