"J-Jeongguk, let me take you away from here."

The said boy was shocked to see the vampire right in front of him. And to say that he isn't feeling hurt is a lie. But he would rather say that what he's feeling is mixed: anger, confusion, hurt, and somewhat the feeling of missing everything about the guy in front of him.

"Let me take you farther. I swear this will be the last time you will have to move."

"What are you talking about? I'm happy here. Don't go after me now," Jeongguk says, but what really bothers him is the fact that the vampire came for him not because he misses him, but to take him even farther away from him.

"He isn't what you think he is," V whispered, but was only pushed away by the boy as he attempts to get nearer.

"Get away from me. As far as I know you told me to forget you. So right now, I do not know who you are."

What he said is true. V told Jeongguk to forget that he ever met him and that a creature like him exists. But it hurts him right to the bones.

"Listen to me first! He isn't a true friend to you!"

Jeongguk doesn't know who he is talking about and was answered when V reads his mind.

"Jackson."

"I don't know who that is. Just get out of here."

"Yes, you don't know him! Of course, he didn't tell you his true name! Whoever that guy you usually hang out with is Jackson! And he'll hurt you, too," his voice gradually softening as he pierces through the other's eyes.

Jay Sonn, is what came to Jeongguk's mind. But he did not believe him because he doesn't want to for he is his only friend.

"Just like what you did to me? Huh, he can't possibly betray me," says Jeongguk, bitterness filled up his voice.

"You believe him more? Fine! Whatever!"

V, afraid of losing his temper towards the petite boy, leaves him and promises to come back again at morning.

But leaving him was a bad option. It was, in fact, the worst mistake he has ever done.

-

6 vampires charge towards a known place and attacks the whole place, killing every piece of their opponents. All of them were like a living fire that burned down the place. But one opponent showed up that they did not ever expect. And soon, many other vampires they haven't seen before showed up, which were much stronger than they expected.

All gazes were on one guy in particular. And everyone in V's side is beyond shocked, if that's possible.

A gray-haired vampire tackles down V and the others tried to help but was stopped when the other opponents tackled them down.

"Did you miss me, V?"

His excessively dark wings came out and together they flew out of the place, using V to destroy the ceiling in the process.

"Are you fucking disappointed that I'm alive, huh?"

"N-No, I-I'm happ-y."

As if that was what angers his opponent more for he was dropped with full force from up the sky. V does nothing, he just let himself fall down and break his leg. The other vampire, once again, charges at him with his elbow. V gagging out some blood after the excruciating pain.

The vampire rages in anger and all he could do was beat the fuck out of V as he was doing nothing to fight back. He made the other suffer from all the physical pains he gave.

All the energy left of V was drained as he felt his heart dying—not literally. His heart clenched too much and the feeling was something he has never felt before. It was different. He knows it has something to do with the petite boy, Jeongguk. He doesn't know what has happened to him but tears flow down his cheeks. And repeatedly, he called for the boy's name, his whole body shaking in fear and he cannot move a muscle.

"Stop muttering someone else's name. I'm here," growls the other.

Dark green orbs pierce through his blue ones. And it made him even more emotional as it sank in his mind that he isn't dead yet. His friend that he killed isn't dead yet. And he doesn't know how the fuck that happened for he witnessed him being buried down years ago.

And he can't let that happen to Jeon Jeongguk.

"I. . .have a favor. K-Kill me now, please," V says.

"Is that the only thing you can repay me?"

"Please help him for me, a-after you killed me," V says and reaches for the other's hands. "Kill me right now and help him. . .please."

Even though he may look pathetic to the other's eyes, he still uses all the energy left in him to get up on his knees and hug the vampire's leg. But he was only kicked away.

It was hard for him to keep going. All he blames is himself. If he did not leave the boy that night then he'll have him by his side.

"Please help Jeon Jeongguk for me."

All he earned back was another kick.

"I trust y-you on this, Sungjae."

Another kick on the gut was about to be given but at the said of the name made him stop. And he looks at V with eyes full of shock.

"What did you just say?"

"I... trust you. After all... you are my friend," V spoke with all sincerity, gasping for air from time to time as he finds it hard to speak.

And Sungjae doesn't know what to say back. He tries to find his eyes but they were already closing. But once he does, guilt showered over him. Soon, V lost consciousness.

And a decision is made. He won't break his trust.

He calls out for his friends to stop the unending fight. All were confused, but disobeying him would only bring them pain.

He knows who to find and he does his best to find him. And when he did, Jeongguk is already lifeless.
