[jjg]

I've been roaming around this dark mansion for almost an hour now, I think, turning on every corners I would get to find. It's just this time I want someone to see me 'cause I can't seem to find my way out of here or back the room. It's much comfortable in there than here and I don't like the way the dim is seeping through every holes, I feel like it is somehow suffocating me.

The time is 2:02 in the morning, as stated on my phone. I continued to seek for my way back, but I ended up reaching a metal staircase wherein I think is connected down a basement or something, a hole is located as an entrance and I could see nothing but darkness as I peek through it. I contemplated on what to do, whether to go down and fill my curiosity up or step away and turn my back because who knows, a creature might be in there waiting for its food to be served or whatnot.

In the end, my curiosity won. I want to know what lies down there. I placed my shaky hands and feet on the cold metal and descended. Hesitant as I am, I got the speed even slower than what might be the slowest thing in the world. I gulped the lump stuck in my throat once I had reached my destination. I opened my phone for a guide light and I couldn't see no walls around.

I think my tears started forming on my eyelids. There was a slight breathing I could clearly hear and it is brushing my skin from behind me. I walked away from it and stepped on something wet, hoping it is not what I think it is. My breathing became unstable and all I could think of was how unarmed I am and how badly I want to hide under my soft covers.

A growl from the unknown creature was heard that got me clutching on my chest and I get to touch the metal string. Still, I do not know where this came from, but nothing is more important right now than my life for me to be thinking of other things. But then he then came rushing into my mind.

'I have my eye on you.'

I couldn't think more of what he meant, but I assume him to be watching me from afar. I really don't know.

I took a step back only to feel more wetness seep inside my sole and into my socks. In the distance, I could hear droplets dripping and echoing. Just small unknown noise got my tears roll down. Shaking even more, I forced my eyes close and I clasped on my ears to avoid hearing such noises. I wanted to scream, but at times like this I really can't trust my own voice.

Where are you?

I am referring to him. Just him.

I feel like a tree—roots keeping me in place and sucking in the liquid from under my feet, add up my muscle which can't be moved. I heard a loud screech which made my heart jump. And little did I know, I stumbled on my feet and the arms wrapped around me kind of made me feel both safe and not. For a second, I was brought back up the stairs.

"Who told you to go down there?"

"I'm sorry," I managed to breath out of my nervosity.

"Trying to escape? There's no way out for you."

"What do you mean?"

Without any hesitations, he turned his back on me. Seems like he's lazy enough to ignore me.

"Wait!"

He then faced me, his face full of annoyance. Should I be scared?

"Can I trust you?"

"I just saved you and now you're asking me that question?"

"I just—"

"Why would I save you from that. . .thing, if I plan on killing you later?" He chuckled and moved closer. "Well, if you insist, I would gladly kill you, yeah?"

His every step towards me got me frozen in place. Slowly, he caressed my neck, his fangs aiming for it. Just one lick and I felt a stinging sensation—must be the open wounds I have still. I placed my hands on his chest, trying to push him away, but no strength can I pull out.

"Please s-stop."

He pulled away and chuckled, his teeth showing and his eyes forming little crescents. He got that cute smile which got me dazed for a second.

"You need to learn how to defend yourself, kid. What if we're not the ones who had you captured?"

He'll save me.

He then fondled my hair and smiled ever so sweetly. And that just made me smile.

"C'mon, I'll take you back to your room."

He started walking, while I followed him from behind. Minutes had passed and we still aren't anywhere familiar to me. My feet are hurting. I pout and glanced down, stepping on where he lays his feet. He suddenly stopped and greeted someone, I then raised my head to see two guys in black sweatshirt. One guy having wide eyes and green hair dye, and the other with scary ones, and yeah, I've met them before.

"Hyung?" He's scary.

I called for the guy with blonde locks and grabbed for his shirt. But he looked back only to pull my hand away. Cold.

"Hey, kid."

The blue-haired guy's eyes are glowing and are much scarier this time.

"Stop it, Namjoon."

The aforementioned guy rolls his eyes and made a grimace.

"Hey, we should get going, Yoongi. Good thing I remember, we still have important matters to take care of."

"Oh, right. Namjoon, please bring this kid back his room for me?"

"Okay."

He, who's still holding my hand, pushed me, and I bumbled towards the Namjoon guy.

"But hyung!"

"You'll be safe, I promise. But don't trust him too much. Haha."

"What?! What do yo—hyung!"

I wasn't even finished yet on what I was about to ask and they're both gone for just a second. That was fast. . .and way too cool.

I felt an arm rest on my shoulders, and our journey began. My insides started panicking, my heart beating faster than usual, and my adrenaline rushing, but I followed. . .as the good boy I am.

"Hello."

Just a simple hello sent me goosebumps. I'm afraid his voice is so manly.

"In your eyes I could see you like Yoongi."

What is he talking about?

"I mean, you do trust him. Aren't you afraid of him? Why me?"

Maybe he'll stop talking if you simply ignore him, Jeongguk.

"Nice name, Jeongguk. Stop talking to yourself. And please remember the fact that we can read what is inside your head."

I glanced up to meet his face, and in the moonlight I could see him grinning from ear to ear. Beads of sweat started forming out of embarrassment and nervosity, his heavy arm's even making me more uncomfortable.

"And please say something?"

"Um. . ."

"Good! Now we're here."

We stopped in front of a red wooden door. He opened it for me and pushed me in. I thanked him, and again, I saw his goofy grin. He then closed it for me, too. He really is weird and creepy.

I sigh. I should get use to the dark, though I still shudder a little at the thought of living with no light, and living with the dead—these dead beings.

I waved my hand and walked slowly to find the bed, but then someone spoke. Someone whose voice is so new yet so familiar.

"Did you miss me that much?"
