Jeongguk punches the wall by the hallway just as he has left the room, particularly V's. The younger thought the boy would be okay. He thought the boy would be happy, but he was wrong. He was able to foresee the whole picture right out from the boy's words and it hurt him.

God, it feels so painful.

When they thought they're siblings, V was okay with it. V was still happy with him. But right now they're both withering at the thought of Jeongguk being the only son. And he can't think of anyone but Hoseok right now. Perhaps the older told the boy, too, about what he was first told of. That a Queen can't bear two children, and that she was a half-human.

Isn't he helping them?

Yes, Hoseok was, until Jeongguk was able to read V's mind.

And to him it's appearing as if he just took V's mother away, as if he has no right to, as if the older even liked the idea of being the son. And he doesn't know where to position himself.

V was an honest being. What he feels is what he shows, no one can't deny. But it's getting a little far that Jeongguk feels as if he's the one to blame.

Jeongguk continues pounding his fist with veins almost popping out from his neck and arm, and with nails about to dig in his own palm. Blood starts to form on his knuckles but he doesn't stop. He doesn't stop until the eye necklace he's wearing goes black, which was the first time he's ever seen it does so.

"Are you okay," monotonous as ever, from behind someone spoke. But Jeongguk's voice came out a little cold as he tells Yoongi to leave. "Guess not."

Jeongguk turned around, seeing the other vampire's eyes being aware and studying him. "What do you want?"

Yoongi looked to his right, then back at Jeongguk again. "Looking at you doesn't mean I want something from you. I was about to check on V, but I saw you here and asked if you're okay. You just told me to leave."

Jeongguk heaves as he was about to leave. He turns around and Yoongi does too, going through the door.

"You've changed so much."

Jeongguk stopped on his tracks to think about Yoongi's words. And then Yoongi speaks again.

"You were more than enough to him. With you he felt complete and sane, but everything is different now and he can last without you. Especially after what happened today."

"Who are you to tell me this," Jeongguk asked, variety of feelings tending to escape through his voice.

"At least that's what I think."

"What have I ever done wrong?"

It's starting to come to him. The memories are beginning to peek ever so slowly. Including the night they first met. Yoongi was nice to him.

And this is just the start.

Jeongguk looked back to find Yoongi already facing him, and he stepped farther. 1 and 2 and 3 steps. Yoongi just watched him do so, assuming the boy felt uncomfortable, now that he'll more likely tell him aching words—which is what everyone started doing.

"He just needs to rest so his wounds would heal faster. You don't have to keep a close eye on him. He doesn't really need you now."

"He woke up a while ago so don't even bother. We can manage."

Right now the question is still: What did he ever done wrong?

No one has answered.

As if he doesn't deserve any truth.

"You guys have never really cared for me, haven't you?

"You have never really treated me a friend.

"Was it all an act? For him to feel happy?"

The worst thing to witness first was Yoongi's smile. It wasn't sincere. It wasn't sad. It wasn't anything.

"WHY WON'T YOU ANSWER ME?"

It's glowing again. The necklace on Jeongguk's neck is starting to get darker, and V is feeling weaker everytime.

After all, they're still connected.

Jeongguk sees how it's getting deeper—his anger. So he takes off his necklace with just a pull and throws it on the floor.

-

Jeongguk was about to go to his own room, after finding time to search for nothing on the woods, and V was able to get up.

Beings tend to cross paths whenever—whether they want to or not. It's a crazy thing actually, if that someone you bumped into isn't meant for you, because what's the point?

"You won again. Good for you, huh?"

Jeongguk was taken aback. Because of what V told him, because he doesn't know what the boy was talking about, and because V's hand was stopping him to keep walking.

"I don't know what you're talking about."

V looked at Jeongguk, and it isn't at all the same, it isn't the way he used to. And his wounds were left with small, light scars, but looked as if they aren't there if not observed closely.

"You have everything I wanted."

Jeongguk scoffs. "What is this all about?"

A time bomb was set inside V's chest and it's ticking ticking ticking. And Jeongguk is getting impatient.

"Am I just a game for you? Am I really nothing to you?"

V asked himself if he has ever told him such. And then he remembered that he asked the guys to tell him those words.

Just to know what Jeongguk will do for him, he started hurting him. Even so, it was a revenge.

"You have someone I always wanted. How does it feel to be smiled upon? How does it feel to be embraced?

"How does it feel to have mother, Jeongguk? 'Cause surely I know it feels so great.

"But how do you feel? Thinking about succeeding on taking her away—"

"I did not take her away from you."

"Sure you know you're the real son. Have you ever considered what I may feel?"

Jeongguk pushed V away, but the grip on his hand is still present. His hand was cold, tight, and it's hurting him.

"Didn't you want to kill her? Consider asking yourself instead. If you wanted to be the son, why didn't you act like a son?"

"It wasn't me. She knew I wasn't her son. It was haven I've always wanted and I know it can't be her. And now it can't be you.

"You two are very alike now. Glad it wasn't me."

Jeongguk was able to hit him. He just felt like running his knuckles on the other's jaw, for the boy to stop talking. But he's being held again, as if they're not fighting. 'Cause it was softer now.

"She was the one who taught me violence. She was the one who calls me her son but couldn't actually say my name."

Bit by bit Jeongguk's starting to understand his pain, but still he muttered, "I don't get you."

V smiled bitterly, and then he was back to grinning before Jeongguk could notice.

"Jeongguk," there was a long sudden pause before the vampire continues, as if it can't actually believe to say the words, "I want you to leave."
