"Tell me what's happening."

It's been almost an hour since the others left and he's been quiet. He's not usually like this, and for some reason I can't read his mind. His eyes blank as he, from time to time, look at me, then back at the white ceiling.

"Hey, what's wrong? Did something happen again while I was gone?"

"We're attacking the palace," he finally blurted out. And I was almost so close to yelling at him as I remember that the palace isn't an easy place to conquer. Secondly, it's his mother who ruled that place.

"Are you out of your mind? No one would compl—"

"They already agreed, Jeongguk."

"Are you really sure about this? I mean she's—"

"I know."

"Stop cutting me off, will you?"

He immediately sat up and looks at me with eyes serious and defined.

It wasn't at all nice for me to hear this.

These past days, I've forced myself to remember even just a little information about my first life. And there is this image of someone that suddenly popped up in my mind while I was roaming around the city.

A house that looked aged, but still beautiful and nice, except from the withered flowers and leaves as you walk along the trail of pavements. That one house captured my eyes so for like every night I go inside, little memories come back to life. Definitely, this was once my home. Glowing stickers of moons and stars and spaceships. I remember them. And I remembered the image of the girl which happened to be my mom.

So beautiful. She's so beautiful.

But here he is, saying no one can change his mind, not even me.

He'll kill his own mother.

"I wanna talk."

His mind is whispering out everything to me just like a breeze hitting my head, but it brushed over me not too softly.

"It's not the right time for us to be talking about this."

"Then when is the right time, V? Please."

I looked into his eyes which begged me to give him an answer, and I don't like it anyhow, because whatever happens, he'll get no answer of satisfying to him.

"It's not that I can't love you back. You're just a little too late, Hoseok."

Walking away is not easy, but it is the right thing to do. We have to take different paths, so sooner or later we'd be in different ends. Sometimes we just have to take risks. My destination isn't him, and his destination isn't me. He just have to accept that.

In front of me, I see someone. And he is indeed my destination, my goal, my purpose. Jeon Jeongguk is.

He is going my way. I asked him why. I've been waiting for you, he says.

The way back to my room is slow, like we were having a procession. And once we reached and opened the door, someone greeted us.

"Why are you here?" Jeongguk was the first one to ask, his voice sounding irritated.

"I just wanna hang out before we get into a fight, V."

"So childish," Jeongguk replies.

"Aren't you? You even play tag with my bestfriend."

I went inside, and Jeongguk has to push Jimin away to enter. They've been sending glares at each other for a minute now and I slammed their heads before anything else could occur.

"Can't you just be friends again? I swear I won't talk to any of you," I said.

"Let's play."

"He doesn't want to play with a small-sized troll."

Jimin has his face already crumpled and like he was about to explode, but he managed to calm down and smile at me. "Let's play hide and seek. I go first."

I quickly stood up to put a tie around his eyes. "No peeking, Jim."

I see Jeongguk tapping away on his phone, immersed in his own little game.

I spun him around and ran away, standing up on the bed beside Jeongguk. I tapped his shoulder, signalling him to make sounds and disturb Jimin so I won't be caught easily. But Jeongguk has another plan in mind as he stood up near Jimin to trip him with his leg.

"Jeongguk, don't," I mouthed, but he still did, resulting Jimin to bump his head on the wall as he fell. Jimin took off the cloth around his eyes.

"I swear, Jeongguk, I can strangle you."

The mischievous boy ran towards me to hide himself, but he was laughing. "Jeon Jeongguk," I called. "Don't you know he was your bestfriend back then?"

"That's not true," Jimin defended. But it is true. Whenever Jimin is around him, I feel forgotten. "You're my bestfriend," he says to me.

"Not all empathy should be returned," I said. "But you're my bestfriend too."

"Aw, sorry bitch," Jimin spurted out in front of Jeongguk's face. I almost roll my eyes.
