Safe House

The Call

ALAINA'S P.O.V.
It's been three years since we made it to the safe house, we have went on runs and helped out to do our part but Lynn still hasn't made it yet. I don't think that Albert just turned Lynn back into Alice otherwise she would have at least tried contacting me or someone else.

"Hey, are you okay?" Piers asks walking up and sitting on the steps with me. We all have our own house now, that has power and everything else that I need... well what I rather have.

"Yeah I'm just-"

"Your just worried about Lynn I get it." He says giving me a friendly smile.

"Yeah... Do I talk about it that much?"

"No not really I mainly hear it from your friends."

"Oh good." I say with a small laugh.

"Well I'm about to go on a run if you want to come with me, I mean us with us."

"Thanks for the offer but I'm good for now, where are you guys going this time?"

"Okay well I got to go, just figured I'd ask and check up on you. Oh and we are going to the hospital its a couple of hours away from here so we might be gone a couple of days."

"Oh wow, well be careful."

"Yeah I will be, bye."

"Bye." Then without another word he walks away and yet all I can think about is if Lynn is okay, I mean yeah he's a really nice guy and really good looking but my friends come first.

"Hey girl!" Sami says walking up to me, she stays standing and just looks down at me.

"Hey." I say giving her a friendly smile, honestly I've been trying to hide the fact that I always have something on my mind especially from Sami because this safe house is exactly what she needed, its what we all needed.

"What's on your mind?"

"Like you even have to-" I'm cut off by the sound of my phone ringing.

"Who is it?" I look down at my phone but its an unknown caller.

"I don't know."

"Well answer it then."

"Okay, okay. Hello?"

"Oh my gosh I've been dying to hear your voice, is the rest of the group with you?" I don't notice the voice at all.

"Not right now but I can get them, who is this?"

"Oh right my voice changed a bit. Alaina it's me Alice." My mouth drops open realizing that Lynn, well now Alice is still alive and she sounds good.

"Oh my gosh! Sami go get the rest of the group." She looks at me confused but I just need the group over here now.

"Well don't just stand there go." She shakes her head and then takes off running.

"Well how have you been? I haven't seen you in three years nor have you contacted me, its been way to long and I thought you would have been here by now."

"I'm good and yeah my bag is with you guys and I have been trying to stay hidden, plus you wouldn't even recognize me, my voice has changed, I don't have any scars or anything, and I have a completely different look. Anyways how have you been?"

"I've been good, but I'm a lot better now that I know that your okay, but why are you hiding and who are you hiding from?"

"That's good and I'm hiding from Albert and my father William." My eyes widen.

"Your, your father? I thought he was dead."

"I did too until I woke up to him and Albert injecting all of the freaking viruses that they've ever made into my arm." Just then Sami and the rest of the group gathered around me and I put the phone on speaker.
