JAKE'S P.O.V. We take off before Piers and Alaina even get the chance to get in the truck. But then we slow down a little bit.
"So what did you grab back there?" When she asked that I came to a stop.
"I thought it was only fair that I be represented as well." I say putting the bracelet I took on her.
"Oh my gosh Jake it's beautiful. I love it, thank you."

"Anything for you." She looked down trying to hide the fact that she was blushing.
"Your so adorable."
"So are you."
"Whatever." I said laughing.
"I'm serious though."
"Yeah sure." Then I smiled and we started to head off again. This time she had her arms wrapped around me and her head laying on my back. We ere halfway to the safe zone when all of the sudden I hear Alice scream.
"STOP!" Right when I heard he I stopped instantly.
"What the heck?" A truck pulled up out of nowhere right where we would have been if I didn't stop.
"I didn't even hear it where did it come from?"
"Turn around." I looked at her confused.
"Turn around now!" Right as I turned around I heard guns going off. Then I started to take off but there were people behind us too with another truck blocking the road.
"Crap." Alice said.
"What you didn't think that we were going to pass up this chance now did you?" My father said getting out of the truck in front of us.
"You should have never left the safe zone." William said getting out of the truck behind us.
"Dad please?" Alice asked.
"Please what let you go?"
"Yes." He looked at my father then back at Alice laughing.
"Yeah like that is ever going to happen."
"If you cared about me like a father should then you would."
"I do care for you when it counts and you may not think that but it do."
"Oh yeah right."
"When we injected those viruses into you that made you stronger, faster, braver. You see I made you better you have a better chance of surviving this thing now because of us!"
"Yeah that you so much for making me survive while I watch the people I love die." She said getting even more upset.
