Breakfast

JAKE'S P.O.V.
It's been a few weeks since my dad sent his men after Alice. I wish that they would just leave her and everyone else alone. The zombies aren't only getting stronger and faster but now we all have to watch of for guys that William and Albert freaking send. But now that they already know that Alice is here she doesn't always have her hood on and she is starting to come out more to everybody and make some new friends. We all are finally being friendly towards others and not just giving them the cold shoulder, well that was mainly me and Alaina but never to each other.

"Hey Jake you want to come give me a hand in the kitchen?"

"Oh yeah, sure." I say getting up off of the couch. Everyone is over at Piers and Alice's house for breakfast and Alice was making us whatever we asked for.

"You know you don't have to make everything everyone wanted, we can all just have pancakes or something."

"No it's more fun and I feel like a chef." She said with a laugh.

"Okay well what do you need help with?"

"I need you to help me get everything out."

"Got it." I start getting everything out that she needs to make all the food then she runs out of the kitchen and upstairs then starts running back down seconds later.

"What was that about?"

"Umm hello do you know me or did three years make you forget everything? I can't cook without music." She says in a 'duh' voice. Then I think back to that one morning that I walked in the kitchen to see her dancing while making pancakes she was so cute.

"Hello earth to Jake, are you okay?"

"Yeah sorry I was just thinking."

"About??" She said smiling while looking through her music.

"You." Her head shot up and her face lit up.

"Aww. So are you going to help me cook as well?"

"If you want me to."

"Yeah you can make the bacon right?"

"Sure." I say laughing and she sighs in relief.

"Good if I did it I might catch it on fire and follow in Chris and Tony's footsteps."

"What? When did they catch bacon on fire?"

"It was a long time ago but mom was at work, so was my dad and they wanted bacon yet they went and played video games. When they went out to check on it and they saw something lighting up the kitchen and they ran in there and surely enough the bacon was on fire. They tried getting rid of the smell and the did by opening all the windows and everything but thing is they forgot to close them so mom came home and instantly said 'Okay what did you guys burn?'."

"Wow, that's kinda sad." I said with a laugh.

"Yep but oh well it's one of those memories that you just can't forget about." We stood there for a minute then she jumped from excitement making me look at her with a confused look on my face.

"I just found a bunch of my old songs so I can't wait to listen to them so I just got excited." A smile slowly formed on my face since I was trying to not burst out laughing but I couldn't hold it in.

"Hey don't judge me."

"I'm not your just adorable." She looked down and I noticed her face turn a light shade of red.

"Well why don't you play some of them?"

"Okay!" She said excited then looked at me and back down to her phone embarrassed. After a minute or so the song 'Superstition by Ball In The House' starts playing, I haven't heard this song in years.
