Way Back

ALICE'S P.O.V.
I wake up to the same thing that I have been for over three years now a little girls voice.

"Alice, Alice wake up." I instantly open my eyes and take in my surroundings.

"Where am I?" Barley being able to see anything since my eyes haven't adjusted to the darkness yet I start feeling around and feel a face.

"Jake? Jake wake up." He starts to open his eyes and I smile in relief.

"Hey beautiful." He says smiling, I'm lucky it's dark outside so that he can't see me blushing.

"Hey handsome." I say kissing his cheek.

"Where are we?"

"That's what I was wondering it's dark outside too so I won't really know which way to go."

"Well that makes the two of us then."

"Well we can't just stay here all night."

"But baaaabe." When he said that I smiled the biggest smile.

"Stop it we gotta try and find our way back to the safe house and find my motorcycle too."

"But, ...ugh fine ruin the perfect moment." He says making me give him a confused look.

"Perfect moment?" I ask.

"Yeah perfect moment I call you babe and you don't act on it."

"Well I did act on it you just couldn't see it."

"What did you do?"

"I smiled a pretty big smile."

"Oh yay!" He said laughing.

"Now we can go find your motorcycle and try and making it back to the safe zone."

"Good so right now I don't see or hear anything so we should be good for a while."

"Good so... what all do you remember before you passed out?"

"I remembered everything up to the point of you catching me."

"So you remember my dad saying that we loved each other?"

"Yeah plain as day. Why?"

"Well you never denied it. Why didn't you?"

"Why didn't you?"

"I asked you first."

"Well I asked you second."

"Fine I didn't deny it because it was true."

"Well that's why I didn't deny it."

"Really? Like you actually love me?"

"Why do you seem surprised?"

"Well I thought you and Piers liked each other for a bit."

"Don't get me wrong Piers is such an amazing guy and I love him to death but he isn't the guy for me."

"And I am?"

"Jake you've always been the guy for me."

"What about Max?"

"He wasn't real."

"It seemed pretty real to me."

"He kissed Maria multiple times. Me and Max only kissed once. That kiss told me everything, the first kiss always does."

"What do you mean?"

"I didn't feel the sparks. But that kiss when I got to the safe zone... that, that was real sparks went through my whole entire body."
