Chapter 13

3 months later

Elsa's p.o.v

It's starting to dawn on me that this war between pitch is going to be very soon. All of us are dreading the day it begins.

These last 3 month have been pretty good I've just been doing interviews and I put out a new album, Hiccup and I are still together and I forgave Jack after that incident as his birthday. Jack called me the day after and explained he only acted like that because he had been drinking and he apologised so we are friends again.

"Elsa"

I turned around and saw Hiccup standing in the doorway of my bedroom.

"Hey Hic, when did you finish work?" I asked

"About 2 hours ago. I spent ages walking around the block trying to think of a way to ask you this"

I started to get anxious "ask me what?"

"Well last night, I woke up in the middle of the night because I had this dream. You were still sleeping and I looked at my pillow and found black nightmare sand on my pillow" he explained

"Pitch"

"Yea he must've put it there. But the dream basically was telling me that you want to be with Jack and not me. I would've completely ignored the dream if it wasn't for what happened on Jack's birthday"

"What do you mean?" My voice broke

"I saw you and Jack. He was whispering stuff in your ear and kissing your neck"

"But I pushed him away and walked away from him, you saw that didn't you?!" I exclaimed desperately

"Yea I did and that's why I never brought it up to you. I was furious at Jack but then I realised that even though he's my best mate, he would do anything to have you even if it means falling out with me, so I didn't bring it up to him either. But now after that dream it's made me open my eyes"

"What are you saying?"

"Elsa I am so in love with you but I need you to answer this question honestly. I know myself that you can never love me the same way you loved Jack and I can live with that as long as you can promise me that one day you can love me more than you love him. Can you promise me that?" He raised an eyebrow

I looked at him, lost for words.

Say yes Elsa

Say yes!

But still I stood there looking at him not saying a word.

"It's a yes or no answer Elsa"

"Why are you asking me this?"

"Answer the question!" He raised his voice "agh!! I can't do this Elsa, I'm done"

I started to panic, "No Hiccup please, please can we work past this"

"Work past what? The fact that you will always love him more than me? No I can't do that"he shouted

"I can learn to stop loving him" I explained

"Can you remove him from your life?"

"I can't do that we've been through too much. I tried to cut him out and it didn't work. When I tried to remove him from my life he had an overdose"

"He does that, every time you try and forget him he does something to grab your attention"

I was taken back "hold on a second, you think he had an overdose for attention?! I was there, he thought he was going to die!"
