The inevitable

Chapter 14

Third person's p.o.v

It turns out it wasn't just Jack that got a letter from Pitch, all of them did and it was a big wake up call. Especially for Rapunzel and Eugene, even though they were going to wait a couple of years to get married they've decided to get married next month. They said if there was a chance they were going to die they wanted to be married.

One month later

Elsa's p.o.v

Everyone was in Corona, a kingdom just outside of Arendelle, it was Rapunzel's parents kingdom.

I am so excited for Rapunzel and Eugene as it's their wedding day. Merida and I are both maids of honours and Jack and Hiccup are both best men.

Mer and I are currently in Punzies bedroom waiting her for her to get dressed into her wedding dress.

"Come on Punz we've go a wedding to go to!"

"I'm ready" she shouted from her dressing room and then walked out wearing the most beautiful dress I had ever seen.

"Wow" I said jaw dropped "you look absolutely stunning"

"Damn you look perfect!" Exclaimed Mer

"You really think so?"

"Yes!" Mer and I said and got up and hugged her

"I am so happy for you, I love you Punz" I smiled

"I love u too Punz" said Mer

"Aw I love you guys" she smiled and hugged both of us

"I'd hate to break this moment but you can't be late to your own wedding" laughed Mer

"Yea she's right, we need to get going"

Suddenly Rapunzel's mother burst into the room "are you ready honey?"

"Yes mother"

"God you look so beautiful" she said and a few tears escaped her eyes and she hugged Punz

We all walked to the local church as it was only round the corner, and oh my it was a grand church.

Jack and Hiccup were out side the church and I heard the wedding music playing.

"I'll go with Mer" said Hiccup and linked arms with Merida and walked through the door, up the aisle.

Thank goodness, that would've been awkward. Even though Hiccup and I still live together, we hardly ever speak after the break up.

"Shall we?" Jack asked

I linked arms with him and starting walking down the aisle.

"You think you're James Bond in that tux don't you?" I whispered

"I am James Bond" he chuckled quietly

We reached the top of the aisle and parted either way of Eugene.

Everyone turned their heads as Rapunzel started walking down the aisle, she did look perfect.

I looked at Eugene's face, he was mesmerised by her. He kissed her cheek when she reached him. They said their vows, which were so beautiful.

"Do you Rapunzel Corona take the Eugene to be your lawfully wedded husband?" The minister asked

"I do"

"Do you Eugene Firzherbert take the Rapunzel to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do"

"I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may now kiss the bride"

He grabbed her and crashed his lips into her and everyone cheered. My happiness for them was overwhelming.

After all the crap that's happened recently it's a relief to see something good happen.

Jack.s p.o.v

All of us were at the wedding reception and I still can't believe that they're married now, where did the time go?

I stared at the beauty that is Elsa Delle who sat opposite me at the table. It was just us two left at the table as everyone else was either dancing or getting a drink.

I looked over to the other side of the room and saw Hiccup chatting up some girl.

"Are you and Hiccup still not talking properly?" I asked

"Not really, just some pointless small talk and that's it"

"Are you coping okay?"

"Yea I mean I love Hiccup but we just don't work"

I simply nodded and watched her bright blue eyes dart over to Eugene and Rapunzel.

"Look how happy they look" said Elsa

"I always knew they'd end up together"

"Their love is so pure and simple. Why couldn't we have that?" She asked "There was always something getting in the way of us"

"That's what made us great though, we were far from simple" I explained

"But it was like the universe was doing everything it could to tear us apart"

I looked into her eyes "you know what, I really did think we were going to beat the odds"

"So did I" she sighed "even if we were crazy enough to give it another shot, Pitch would do anything in his power to break us up"

I was confused "why are you talking about this all of a sudden?"

She stared at me for a moment "I'm scared"

"Of what?"

"This war, it scares the hell out of me just thinking about it. It's so soon and it's made me think about us a lot. Aren't you scared about this war? That's a stupid question your Jack Frost you don't get scared"

"I'm scared alright but not of me dying. I'm scared of what this war might do to everyone" I said

Worry was still written on her face.

The wedding band started playing another song, to be pacific they started playing the song 'Home'

I stood up and took of my jacket so I was just left in a shirt and waistcoat and I grabbed her hand.

"Dance with me Elsa"

She accepted and we started dancing in time with the music.

"I want these last 2 months with you" I whispered

"I want nothing more than that but I'm leaving for LA tonight"

"What?!"

"As much as I want to spend these 2 months with you, I also want to see my sister, I need to spend some time alone with her. I hope you understand"

I took a deep breathe disappointed "yea I understand. Tell Anna and Kristof I said hey"

She smiled weakly "yea I will"

We carried on dancing in silence and the song was coming to an end.

I don't want to let her go again, holding her feels so right. I love her more than anything.

"I don't think I can watch you walk away again" I whispered

"Close your eyes"

I did just that and felt her let go of my grasp, then felt her hand hold my face and her lips press against mine.

"Count to 10 and open your eyes" she whispered
