We got into the house, Clair danced over to the phone as she ordered the pizza we generally get at least three times a week.

Our mom is never home and she's a severe drunk. When she is home she is very grumpy and often screams profanities like "you sacks of shit." And "you pathetic little fucks." I love her because she's my mother, but honestly she needs to get a grip.

I ran upstairs to my room while I waited for the pizza to arive.

"Hey shit head!"

Sigh.

"Yes, Clair?"

"Do your homework." I could feel her evil grin.

When mom isn't around she acts like the mother figure, except she's my sister and an asshole. So there's that.

"Fine." No way.

I closed my door and got onto my phone, I guess it's time to text Kayden...

I punched in his number, my hands were shaking. Having anxiety is bad, but it's really bad when you're texting the cutest motherfucker you've ever seen. So yeah.

'Hey. It's Robin. The kid from the party...'

2 min

'Hey! How'd you get my number? Just curious. (:'

Oh god. Fuck now I'm gonna seem creepy.

'Ha..ha. Um my friend, the one that I was with at the party, has ways... of reaching people.'

'Woah, that's actually pretty cool. I don't mind it though, I'm glad I have your number.'

'Yeah, same'

3 min

'So, hey.. I was wondering if you'd like to meet up at the park sometime? I dunno, you seem chill and little, so I want to get to know you.'

Oh shit. Oh shit. Oh shit. Is this a date, what the fuck. Oh god. I need to text Abby.

'Abby, shit I think Kayden just asked me out on a date!!!!!'

2 min.

'YAY! Bro, say yes. Da fuq. What are you waiting for?'

'Okay...'

Fuck I'm nervous.

'Hey, sorry it took awhile. I would love to go to the park with you. (:'

1 min.

'Awesome!! Let's meet at Peter Crest Park on Saturday, 12:30 sound good?'

'Sounds perfect, see you then. (:'

'Kk'

Fuck.

"BRO! Pizzas here" Clair called our.

"Kay!"

I ran downstairs, having a panic attack really works up my hunger, and I've had nothing to eat so that's also probably why.

I grabbed two big slices and started to head upstairs.

"Uh uh mister, where do you think you're going?" Clair tapped her nails on the kitchen table.

"My room?"

She let out a chuckle.

"I don't think so, we are going to have sister brother bonding time whether you like it or not." She pointed to the seat next to her.

"Ughhhh"

"So, how was your day?" She asked, it was very muffled because she had a wad of pizza in her mouth.

"Eh, it was a day."

"Anything eventful happen?"

"I talked to a guy and we're gonna hang out on the weekend."

"HOLY SHIT YES OH MY FUCKING GOD."

She spit pizza all over the table.

"WAIT. Who is he? Is he big? Is he nice? What's his name? I want to talk to him. What does he look like? Does he get good grades? If he hurts you I'm going to rip his ba-"

"Woah, calm down Clair. He's really nice. I'll let you talk to him so you feel safer, okay?"

"Yeah.. okay. But if my baby bro gets hurt the world is gonna pay."

"Hehe, thanks sis." I kissed her on the cheek.

2 Am.

Why the fuck can't I sleep? I've just been laying here. Thinking. Not about important things, but about everything

Am I going insane? Nah, I'm already there. Maybe I'm nervous about Kayden. Yeah that's probably it.

Fuck, I need sleep. I'm already a grumpy shit.

Scream.

Shit. I drifted off. Another nightmare? God not again.

"Again, kiddo?" Clair looked worried.

"Ha..ha. Yeah..."

She sat on my bed where she always does.

"Fuck, I forgot to get your pill. Goddamnit this is my fault. Fuck."

I curled up to her.

"Naw, it's not your fault. You're not mom or anything." I smiled and she kissed my nose.

"Fuck that bitch, she abandoned us but she's still here, what the fuck?"

Clair has always hated mom, even though she's the favorite. I guess she just feels wronged. I don't blame her, I just find it hard to hate my mom. She used to be so fun so, I dunno.

"Are you okay, buddy?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks." I kissed her cheek.

"Okay, you need to rest up. I'll get your pill."
