A Kink In Time - A Legend of Zelda FanFic (Ocarina of Time)

Chapter 1

As I walked into my house, throwing my bags down on the floor, I only had one thing on my mind: The Legend Of Zelda. Ocarina of Time, to be more specific. Yeah, I had homework. But who cared? Not me! The fate of Hyrule was in my hands! I had no time for homework!

I told my mom about my day, and quickly slipped away into my bedroom, turning on my N64.

"Need anything, Betsy?" My mom called from the kitchen as I clicked on my file.

"Uhh... Glass of water?" I replied as the game opened up.

"Okay." I heard the water fall into the glass, and smiled when she brung it to me. I took a sip, and sat it down, as I got into the game. I'd just restarted my game the day before, and I had just went into the Deku Tree when I had to shut it off. Goddesses, I was already ready to get all these Spiritual Stones and get on to the Temples!!!!

After about another hour of crazy lookin' spiders and finally the easy defeat of Gohma, I got to the cutscene in which the Tree dies. I felt accomplished, slightly sad, and... It was dinnertime. Already. I saved and shut off the game, and walked out to the dinner table.

"Why do you play that game so much?" Mom asked.

"It's a really good game..." I said, taking a bite of the Cucco- sorry, I mean, Chicken leg of my plate. I didn't even want to talk to her about it. I considered her a disgrace to gamers, ever since she told me she thought Pong was the hardest video game. Ever! I had laughed at her blatant stupidity, and walked away.

Pretty soon I was done with my dinner, and I sat down and watched some TV. Then, shower, surfing the internet, and going to sleep.

Perfectly normal day, right?
