Chapter 34

*Betsy's Perspective*

We had talked to some of the Zoras in the Domain, who had told us that Link had gone up there to see Lord Jabu-Jabu a while ago. So, Robert and I ran up there, and walked into the whale's mouth. I saw that all the tentacles were gone, which meant that he would be fighting Big Octo any time! We rushed down there, and found him dying. We leapt into battle, stabbing Big Octo to death.

After me bawling, hoping it wasn't too late, hoping Link hadn't already lost too much blood for even a fairy to help him. I gripped his bleeding sides, pressuring them, trying to stop the blood he was losing.

Finally, Robert ran over and opened a fairy in a bottle, and I felt Link's sides heal up, and we hugged.

Now, we were headed on, towards the boss of this (sorta disgusting) dungeon. We rode the platform back up, and met with the top floor, leaping off.

We killed the jellyfish in this room, and I grabbed a box from one side of the room.

"What's that for?" Robert asked, clueless to everything in this world, let alone this dungeon.

"This." I sat the box down on a button, and the boys followed me through, Tatl and Navi floating alone beside us.

I shot the Golden Skulltulla off of the wall, and marched onward, killing every single jellyfish I saw. I hated those things! Robert just stared. I guess I'd changed since I came here, really. He knew a Betsy that was meek, and well, useless in most battles. Emotional, physical, I wasn't much help. Well, unless you were messing with my friends. Or behind a jerk. Then I'd kill you.

Or make you wish you were dead.

But that's besides the point.

I smiled. In this world, I might as well be called Katniss Everdeen. Katniss is amazing with a bow. I'm amazing with a slingshot. Well, and the Fairy Bow... (Which I wanted badly but couldn't get yet.) I climbed up the wall, and borrowed the boomerang from Link. He stared at me, and started asking what I was going to do. He could see the glass and thought this was hopeless. And I had to admit, when I had played this part I about threw my controller up against the wall. And then I realized what I had to do. I was just like, DUH!

Anyways, I backed up, lining up my shot, and threw the boomerang. It swirled, and hit the button on the other side.

"YES!!!" I yelled, fist pumping. I jumped over to the other side, Link and Robert following me yet again. Just as we were about to go through the door, I stopped, and turned around, looking at them.

"Alright, listen, and listen good! This room leads to the boss of this dungeon, Barinade. It's pretty freaking hard to beat, but if we all work together, we can beat him. If we don't... We might all die in there." I looked down, sighed, and looked back up. "Also, be prepared to be basically shot by 1000 volts of electricity if you aren't careful. Be sure to use targeting, and Robert, just stick by me unless I tell you otherwise. You don't know enough about this world, but you still might be helpful in there if we are near dead or something." I told him, not trying to be mean, but kinda sounding like he was useless. Ouch.

"Well, I have these fairies." He pulled two bottled fairies out, and I smiled. Link had one fairy left, meaning we now had 3 fairies! One for each of us!!! A gift from the Goddesses, I guess!

We each took a fairy, so that if we did collapse and, well, die, the fairy would revive us.

"Ok. Now, Link. You take one side of the room, and I'll take the other. One of us will distract him, and the other will shoot him or shoot his jellyfish armor. When he turns to the one who just shot him, the other person will start shooting his other side. We have to be quick, and precise." I instructed him, and he nodded. "Robert, you'll be on my side. You'll heal us, or we could use you as a distraction." He didn't seem thrilled about the last part, but nodded in agreement. He didn't really have a choice, though.

So, with a deep breath, a tinge of fear, slight comfort in having a plan, and a hope that we would all come out alive, we opened the door.

Into the boss room.
