I groaned. Link looked totally confused. He looked around for a minute, before looking up and seeing him. The owl. Oh, god, that STUPID owl!
"Ah, my young Friend! Before you is... Hey wait!" He flipped his head upside down, looking at me. "Who is this! Who!" He leaped down from the branch, and hopped towards me. "Who!" Link pulled out the Kokiri Sword, and I wondered how he had it. And that's when I realized, bumping my hand on a sheath, that I had one, too! I pulled it out, and Tatl bounced in front of me.
"Woah! Where did you get that?!?!" She asked.
"I... I have no idea!" I was really, super startled.
"Let me get a closer look...." Tatl fluttered closer to the blade. "Wow! This sword... I thought it was a myth! The Deku Sword! See how the wood on the handle is carved so intricately, how the gems on it's handle mirrors the Kokiri Emerald? I wonder if it's stronger than the Kokiri Sword, Betsy!" Tatl bounced, and I smiled. This was a cool sword!
"Hey, no fair!!! Why does she get a mythical sword?!?" Link complained, and I giggled. He glared at me, and I burst out laughing.
"Hoot ho! Betsy, is it? When did you get here?" The owl asked.
"Today, actually. Ganondorf kinda... Switched bodies with me. He's... In my world right now. The Deku Tree changed transformed my body into this form, which is similar to my original... Right before he... Died." I grimaced. I kinda felt bad... He used the last of his energy so I wouldn't look like ugly old Ganondorf.
"Yes, yes. Well, now that you are adventuring with Link, you must listen to my words of wisdom! Both of you, listen up! Beyond is Hyrule Field, which connects to all of the other areas of our fair Kingdom. Whether it's the castle, the beautiful Lake Hylia, the Gerudo Valley, Lon Lon Ranch, Castle Town and the Castle Grounds, or Zora's River and Domain, you can access them using the Field...." By then I had zoned out, and even Tatl and Navi had begun to get irritated at his obnoxious blabbering! "Would you like me to repeat that?" He asked.
"Ye-" Link began, and I slapped my hand over his mouth.
"Haha, thanks for asking, but we got it. Right, Link?" I gave him a look that told him that he'd better agree with me.
"Uhh... Yeah. I got it." He smiled. Phew!
"Alright! Now, you must go forth, towards Castle Town! You must seek presence with the Princess! Hoot ho!" He flapped his huge wings, and soon, thank the Goddesses, he was gone.
"Never, ever, ask that owl to repeat what he said. Alright?" I told Link.
"I'll just take your word for it, Betsy." He smiled at me and my heart exploded... Twice! I shook it off. He was cute, but if we were going to fight together, we couldn't be distracted by each other. If we wanted to win, anyways.
"Alright. Now, let's go. We don't want to be in Hyrule Field when it turns to night!" I laughed.
"...Why?" Link asked, confused.
"You'll see if we don't get going! Come on!" I ran forward and out of the tunnel. I stopped, and took in the massive beauty that was Hyrule Field. Link ran up to me, and looked around, as I was, at the beauty of this amazing field. Then he looked to the left, and saw what I easily recognized as one of those Hylian Shield eaters.
"Ooh, what's that?" Link said, and I turned my head to look at him. But before I could tell him what it was, he was running towards the thing!
