Chapter 11

I told Tatl and Navi to go above us and get... Well, a fairy's-eye view. If it was safe, they would turn green, and fly in the direction we should go. If we needed to move, they would fly in the direction we needed to go.

"It'll work... Right?" I asked Tatl.

"Well, I suppose. Just pay attention to us, and it will all be fine. Don't worry about it, ok?" She replied.

I wanted to hug that fairy right then. She was just so.... Reassuring! I was glad that she was my fairy, and I didn't know what I would have done without her!

"Thanks, Tatl." Instead of trying to hug her, I put my palm up, and she bumped into it. It was kind of our way of high fiving each other.

"Ok! Link, you ready?" I asked, and received a determined nod.

"Let's go then!" I told him, and with a roll, Link and I were in the maze of guards. I looked up, and saw Tatl and Navi fly to the right. So, we ran that way. Then they stopped, and so did we. They blinked and flew straight ahead, and we ran forward. We waited, and they blinked again, flying forward once more. We rolled, and we were into the next maze.

I let out a breath. One down, three to go! On signal from the fairies, we turned, and climbed a ladder. We picked up a couple rupees and jumped down, into the the next maze. Roll. Stop. Run. Roll. Stop. Run! And, finally we were in the fourth maze. My brain was on fire, this was so intense!

We stood there, behind a bush, until we got the signal from Tatl and Navi to go forward. We ran around the corner, and up into what I knew was where Zelda would be, staring through a window.

She turned around, startled. "Who are you?! How did you get past the guards?!" She said, and then her face lightened. "Wait... Are you from the forest? Do you have a green stone?" She asked. Link pulled out the Kokiri's Emerald, and she clapped her hands.

"It is you! The Forest Boy and Girl from my dream!! Come here, both of you. Take a look through the window. There is someone in there... One who I think is nothing but evil. Go on, look!"

Link and I stepped up to the window, and I almost fell backwards. I knew who it was.... But how could that be? How in the worlds did my best friend get sent here as the replacement for Ganondorf?!?!
