I opened my eyes to a bright light shining in my face. I had an IV needle attached to my arm and my shoulder was throbbing. I suddenly remembered what happened.
I had told Jarred that I loved him and he bit me. I looked under my shirt, but a band-aid covered it. I sat up slowly but that didn't help I still felt super dizzy. I was in a room alone, but I was still at the pack house. I looked beside me and there was my phone.
I reached over and grabbed it. I called Cameron, “Hello?” Cameron answered.
“Hey Cameron, where are you?” I asked.
“I’m going to your room right now.” he said as he hung up.
I waited for about 5 minutes when he came through the door. Relief flooded his features. “You’re okay” he said hugging me.
I laughed. “Ya why wouldn’t I be?” I asked as he pulled away.
“Well you know how Jarred woke up?” he asked. I nodded beckoning for him to continue. “Well he still had silver in his system that’s why he was acting crazy and that’s when he marked you making you his official mate. Silver hurts a human worse than werewolves.” he explained.
“I could’ve died?” I asked my voice shaking.
He nodded. I felt hot tears strolling down my cheeks.
“Don’t cry you wouldn’t have died, you’re too strong to have been able to die.” he said smiling and grabbing my hand.
Someone entered the room which made us turn towards the door.
"Leave us Cameron” Jarred ordered.
He was not wearing a shirt and he still wore the shorts from the last time he had been treated. Though he looked way better, not a single scratch on him I couldn't help but be scared of him.
I saw a glint in his eyes that I didn’t like. “No Cameron don’t leave please” I begged.
Jarred let out a low growl.
Cameron gave me an apologetic look, “Don’t worry the silver is out of his system, he should be back to normal” and with that he he stood up to leave. I tried to push myself off the bed.
“Don’t” he ordered. I felt so afraid. And I couldn’t do anything. He came next to the bed and looked at my shoulder. “Why do you have a band-aid covering your mark?” he asked in a voice radiating power.
“I-I-I woke up with it on”
“We’ll take it off” he ordered. I shook my head.
“Why not?” he asked.
“Because it hurts” He stayed quiet for a moment and thought.
“Are you sure?” I nodded. “Because it’s not supposed to, at least not now. Frankly I don’t get why you passed out” he said thoughtfully.
“Well you bit me” I said angrily.
“I claimed you making it known that you are mine to any other werewolf.” he said as he put his hand on my cheek. I slapped his hand away.
“I didn’t say I wanted to be yours” I countered.
“But you said you loved me” he said confused.
“I thought you were dying and I was confused and worried. I feel something for you, but I only said it cause I thought I’d never see you again.” I explained in a rush looking deep into his grey eyes.
He smiled “You feel something for me?” he asked looking really cute.
“Ya,” I said unsure.
