I went outside into the school parking lot and started walking away from Jarred. He seemed to be laughing knowing I couldn't get away from him even if I wanted to.
I wasn't looking when I bumped into someone.
"Oh my God I'm sorry" I began frantically.
"It's okay just watch where your going next time Kass" Trenton said with a soft smile.
"What are you still doing here?" he asked curiously.
"Oh um I had to get some stuff from my locker." I said lying. I felt kind if bad, but I couldn't tell him the truth.
"Well, do you need a ride?" he asked.
I knew that Jarred wouldn't like it so I declined nicely."Um, no it's okay. Cameron's giving me a ride" I said lying again.
"Really, I saw him leave not to long ago"
I looked around and Jarred was nowhere to be seen.
"It's okay I'll just call him right now" I said as I searched my pockets for my phone .
"Don't bother I'll take you" he said leading me towards his car. It was an old blue truck, one that he'd had for a while now.
I heard a growl and quickly looked around only to be surrounded by a mostly empty lot. Maybe I was just being paranoid. It wasn't like it was something bad, I was only getting a ride from a friend.
I felt so nervous getting into his car for some reason, maybe because I hadn't hung out with a normal human guy until now.
The drive home was quiet, but comfortably so. We didn't say anything, we didn't really have to.
"You have my number if you ever need a ride, just go ahead and call me. I'll see you at school tomorrow" he said as he waved and drove off.
Seeing my house felt weird, it looked empty. My dad was probably at work or somwhere with my brother so none of the curtains were pulled back and it didn't look welcoming.
I walked up to the door and opened it, walking in I sighed deeply. I headed upstairs to my threw my bag on my bed and when I turned back to my door an angry Jarred stood there.
Uh-oh.
I jumped back feeling my heart rate increase rapidly. I was taking in deep breaths.
"Oh my goodness Jarred." I said.
"You said he was just a friend" he whispered coming closer.
"I didn't lie to you, he is just a friend."
"Then why did you accept his ride?" he said.
"Because I didn't have my phone to call Cameron or my dad for a ride. I had no other choice" I said keeping my guard.
He gave me a suspicious look and handed me my phone.
I had a text from Cameron.
'u missed jarred didnt u?'
I replied. 'a tiny bit, but he's kind of a jealous jerk.'
Jarred snatched the phone out of my hand and a deep growl emanated from his chest. His eyes had small golden flecks in them.He looked at me intently.
I sighed angrily and started to walk out of the room when he grabbed me roughly and held me captive in his arms.
"Let go of me!" I said trying to push him away.
"Not until you tell me you love me" he growled.
"Seriously? You're a jealous idiot and you're starting to get me angry wih your inability to trust me. I love you and I'm not going to stop living my life just because of you. I'm also not gonna cheat on me, you have to believe me" I said angrily.
