Chapter 16

After about an hour of crying I fell asleep. It was pretty dark anyway. Why did I have to run into the forest. Out of all the places I could of chosen, I picked the forest.

I was awoken by cool air hitting my face. I opened my eyes to see an unknown man carrying me. He had black wavy hair and piercing brown eyes. I thrashed about weekly, not wanting to be near the strange man.

"Keep. Still." He said, struggeling to keep hold of me.

"Who are you?" I asked worriedly.

"I am Stefan. From the wild pack. Alpha Ronald instructed us to find you." He said in a voice full of authority. It took me a while to register that Ronald's pack was called the Wild pack. After all, that is their last name. 

"How long have i been gone?" I asked curiously.

"Five hours." He said. Five hours! How could i have been away that long. At least it's not 24 hours, that would be worrying.

"What's the time now?" I asked.

"It is now... 12:00." He said, checking his watch.

"We are nearly at alpha Ronald's house now." He said. Pointing ahead.

I could see the large house from here. Looking as extravagant as usual. I nodded at Stefan.

"Thank you Stefan." I said sincerely. He nodded.

As soon as i was in Robins view he sprinted over to me.

"Oh,  Kacy, i'm so sorry. I'll never let this happen again, i swear." He said sadly. He must of been really worried.

"I love you with all my heart." He said. I kissed him so he would stop worrying, i am here now.

He took me from Stefan and cradled me in his arms.

"Thanks." He mumbled to Stefan.

In the window of the living room i saw Alex. He had cuts and bruises along his face, complete with a black eye.

"W-what did you do to Alex?" I whispered. He looked over to the window.

"I tought him not to mess with my mate, that's what." Robin said. Softly but also sternly.

"Come on, let's go get a hot chocolate." He said happily, at least he still isn't angry.

We drank our hot chocolates in silence.

"Why did you run?" Robin asked, making me jump.

"I was scared Robin. I can't stand physical fighting, it reminds me of my dad..." i trailed off. My father wouldn't take it lightly when he couldn't get what he wanted, so he got into many fights. Too many to count.

He came over to hug me.

"I'm really sorry, Kacy. It won't happen again." He promised. I wanted to believe him, but wolves have to fight. Don't they. I mean, they need to protect their pack in some way.

"Want to go my room?" Robin asked. I nodded my head and he guided me to his room. I couldn't get the look on Alex's face out of my head. The pain looked unbearable.

"Will Alex be OK?" I asked. Robin sighed.

"Yes, we heal pretty quick. W-why would you care anyway?" He asked shaking his head.

"I may not like him, Robin, but I have reasons to be worried. he might be my brother in law one day." I stated.

He mumbled something under his breath. i shrugged it off. 

"I'm really sorry I lost my temper earlier. Did I hurt you much?" He asked sincerely. 

"No." I said, looking at his worried face.

"Are you sure?" He said.

"Yes, I'm OK. please don't worry." I said looking into his beautiful eyes.

He nodded

"OK.".

After we spoke for a bit, (and Robin apologised a million times) I was really tired. I got into my pyjamas and brushed my teeth. When I walked back into the room, Robin was already in his boxers lying on one half of the bed. I got in slowly.

Robin immediately wrapped his arms around my body protectively.

"Love you." He whispered.

"Love you too." I whispered back before falling asleep.
