He carried me down the hall until we reached another set of double doors. I held my breath, not knowing what was facing me. I knew once we made it through those doors, there was no turning back. Turning the knob and kicked the door open with his foot. Flipping on the light, he carried me straight to the bathroom and set me on a soft padded bench before a vanity. He walked over to the tub, and turned on the water to run a bath. Pulling out a couple of towels, he set them on side of the tub.
“Take a bath and get cleaned up. I’ll bring you in some cloths in a minute. I need to go check on a few things.”
He left the room and locked the bathroom door from the other side. I sat there in shock. How did I get here, locked a bathroom, who knows where. I looked around and couldn’t believe my eyes. This bathroom was amazing. It was past the point of being luxurious. Marble floors, floating vanity, soaking tub, and a shower with a dozen shower heads. Everything gleamed.
Slowly I got up, and walked over the mirror. I looked at my reflection in shock and horror. I was pale with dark circles under my eyes. My hair and neck were matted with dried blood. There was what looked like a chunk on flesh missing from my neck. Ugh, I look awful. Almost like the walking dead. Starting to laugh at my reflection, I truthfully looked like I had been to hell and back.
The tub was almost full, so I turned off the water. Gradually I started to remove my clothes and lowered myself into the water. It felt great. The warm water helped remove the chill from my body. I took a bottle of lavender body wash and poured some onto a fluffy washcloth. I started to wash the dried blood from my neck. Being careful to not let it start bleeding again. When I finished scrubbing my entire body, I leisurely slipped down until my whole body was under the water. I laid there holding my breath, until my chest hurt. When I couldn’t stand it any longer, came up for air. Opening my eyes, he was standing over me.
I screamed in both shock and anger. “What the hell, can’t I take a bath in peace? Shit, you’re unbelievable.”
“I know, I am, aren’t I”. He chuckled.
“That is not what I meant and you know it.” What a dick.
He sat down on the edge of the tub and grabbed the bottle of shampoo. He poured a generous amount in his palm. Looking at me with the stupid smirk, he asked, “May I?” holding his hand out towards me. I nodded, not knowing what to do. I didn’t want him to touch me, but I was naked in a tub, and really didn’t have the home court advantage to fight it. Gradually he started too wash my hair for me. His fingers felt so nice massaging my scalp, as he worked to get the blood out of my hair. After a few minutes he grabbed a hand held nozzle and rinsed the shampoo out of my hair. It felt wonderful to be clean again.
“So are you ready to get out?” He got up and returned with a towel. Holding it up and out, ready to wrap me up in it, he said “Don’t be shy, I’ll turn my head.”
I knew he was testing me, to see if I would fight him. I wasn’t afraid of my body, even though I didn’t want to be naked in front of this ass, but I took a deep breath, and started to get up. Half way into a standing position, my legs gave out and I started to fall back into the tub. He grabbed me like the speed of light, wrapping the towel around me, lifting me effortlessly into his arms.
“Thank you,” is all I said. I want to cry out; I wouldn’t be this weak if he wouldn’t have attacked me. Granted I did try to run and he warned me, but he is the one that kidnapped me in the first place. So technically it is his fault.
He carried me back to the seat next to vanity. Putting me down, he grabbed the other towel and started to dry my hair, then he took the brush off the vanity and started to brush out the tangled mess. I had never had someone take care and be so attentive to me. I looked at myself in the mirror, and the look of shock on my face was almost comical. Once he was done, he handed me a pile of clothes he had set aside on the counter.
“Go ahead and get dressed. I’ll leave you alone for a few minutes. There is also a tooth brush by the sink”.
He left the room, and sat there for a moment. I looked at the clothing and was pleasantly surprise. I figured he would have handed me something skimpy or uncomfortable. He gave clothes exactly like I would wear at home. I slipped the white cotton tank top over my head, and slipped on some simple cotton panties. Finally I pulled the pink plaid pajama pants on. That is when I notice a hair tie on the counter, and wrapped my hair up in a loose bun. After brushing my teeth, and found some face cream on the vanity. I applying the lotion, while repeating in my mind "It applies the lotion or gets the hose again." You know you are loosing it, when quotes from the Silence of the Lambs run through your head. I stood up and walked slowly out of the bathroom. My body still ached and felt drained.
He was sitting next to the fire place, just staring at the flames. I walked out into the room, looking around the first time. The room was just as gorgeous as the bathroom. A huge king-size bed, covered a lush gold comforter, plush carpets, rich paintings, and the view as just as amazing as Graces room. I was taken aback by the beauty of the room that I didn’t hear him call for me at first.
“Ava, love, come here.”
Agghh, he worked his way around that one didn’t he. I snapped back to reality, sat down in the furthest seat from him.
“I’m going to jump in the shower. While I’m doing that, there is some food right there. You need to eat something to build back you strength.” He stated as he got up to head to the bathroom.
“Oh, by the way. The door is locked, and I have the only key.” He chuckled and went into the bathroom, shutting the door.
I didn’t realize until he mentioned food, how hungry I was. I walked over to the tray of food, surveying the items. I took a cup of tea and a piece of toast. Heading back to the couch I put the toast to my nose and smelled it. It smelt normal, so I took a bite. It was dry, but hit the spot. Sipping the tea, I looked out the window as the sun was peaking through the trees. I couldn’t believe that I had almost been two days, since the jerk entered my life. Everything has changed, and I do not even feel the same.
I use to believe that I was strong and could handle everything. He has taken my inner strength from me. Maybe if I get some sleep, I’ll be able to find it in the morning. There has to be a way for Grace and I get out of here, and away from him. I didn’t know where the hell I was, but if I played my cards right. Maybe, just maybe, I’ll find the opening to break free.
I must have fallen asleep on the couch, because I woke up when he took the empty tea cup from my hand. I looked up as he hovered over me. The expression on his face was so peaceful. If I could get past the fact that he was a monster, his beauty was breath taking. Those blue eyes looked at me lustfully. I knew I should have been scared, but what more can he do to me.
Truthfully, when he spoke, it sent chills down my spine. I have always been a sucker for a man with an accent. Hopefully, he’ll stay the strong silent type, so I can keep a clear head on my shoulders.
Still groggy, he lifted me up of the couch, cradling me like an infant in his arms once again. I turned my face into his chest and started to cry. I couldn’t stop crying. He just held me and let me get it all out. I couldn’t believe that I allowing myself being so vulnerable with him. He carried me over to the bed and placed me under the covers. He sat next to me and stroked my neck, tracing my star and moon tattoo and the wound he left there.
“Go to sleep Ava love. You’re safe, Grace is safe. I promise, if you behave, nothing else will happen to you.”
I started to cry again, and he curled up beside me. I tried to scoot away, and he grabbed me by the waist, pulling me next to him. I placed my hands flat on his chest, trying to push away. Unable to move, I finally gave up, sleeping in my vampires arms.
“Goodnight, Ava love.”
For the first time ever, I spoke his name out loud. “Night, Xander.” I felt his body smile, as I drifted off to sleep.
