Heading back up to the bedroom, I prayed that Xander was still asleep. Deep down I knew that was a long shot, but a girl could hope, couldn’t she.
I had just made my way out the dining room, checking every corner hoping to not run into Klaus, and by all the demons in hell, he was standing right in front of me, I swear he wasn’t there a second ago. Damb vampires. “Hey, stop doing that!” I said, raising my voice just a little.
He just stood there, giving me those baby blues, finally he spoke. “So, Angel….”
Aarghhh, pet name! I know I let Rose call me sweetie, but it’s different coming from a grandma figure, not an arrogant son of a bitch. Oh, how I really want to tell him off, but it won’t do any good. I promised Xander I wouldn’t provoke him. My best defense is ignoring him. I tried to just walk past him, without saying a word.
No, luck. He was right in front of me, pacing my every step.
“What have you been up too...? Hummm, Let me guess, sneaking around the house, trying to get away from lover boy? You know, if you ever get bored with him, you can always come find me. I’d be happy to entertain you.”
“I’m sure you would, but a lass, I’m not interested.” I said with a fake smile. Keeping an even tone, I asked, “Klaus, would you be so kind as to move. I’m trying to get back upstairs.”
“Now why would that be? Are you trying to get back to lover boys side.” Klaus teased.
“No, I was going to check on Grace and Nicole if you must know.” It wasn’t true; I was trying to get back upstairs to Xander. I didn’t want him to freak out, if I wasn’t up there when he woke up, but why let Klaus know that.
“No need, Angel. I just left them watching Crazy Stupid Love in the media room. I couldn’t take that sappy movie anymore, so I left before I lost it. Too much mushiness, not enough nudity and hot sex for my liking.”
“Thanks for the update… see you later.” I tried to get past him again, with no luck. It must run in the family. They are both so damb persistent.
“Klaus, what do you want?”
“I’m sure you can guess.” Klaus said as he stepped closer to me. I seductive expression on his face was unnerving. With each step he took, I took one backwards. Trying with everything I had not to pin myself against a wall. I made it around a table, a chair, and a potted plant. After a few minutes of playing cat and mouse, I found myself pinned between Klaus and the back of the sofa. I fell back, hoping I’d have enough time to get on my feet, before Klaus could get to the other side. Unfortunately, I keep miss judging those vampire skills. Damn it, they’re fast. Now I was laying pinned on the couch, with Klaus on top of me. I couldn’t believe the messes I keep getting myself into.
Placing my hands on his chest, I tried to push him off. Klaus just laid there, looking down at me, laughing.
“Klaus, get off of me. Please.” I pleaded.
“Oh, Angel, you know you like it. How could you not.” With that Klaus tried to bring his face towards mine. Oh hell no, he wasn’t going to try to kiss me, was he?
I couldn’t believe this asshole. Taking my hand, I pushed on his chin and mouth to keep him from reaching my own. I guess his mouth was open just enough, because the pressure of pushing him away, cause my palm to sliced open against his teeth.
“Ouch, you son of a bitch. Look what you made me do.” I yelled.
Bringing my hand to my own mouth, I tried to clean up the blood. I wanted to see how deep the cut was, but it wouldn’t top bleeding and it stung like hell.
