A little while later Grace and I were sitting watching another Twilight movie. Of all the things she could be watching, she had to choose New Moon. I didn’t know how many times she had seen this movie, but was getting on my nerves.

All I kept thinking was if my freakin vampire could read my freakin mind, he’d know I hated his freakin guts. My vampire isn’t glittery. Unfortunately my vampireis freakin strong and way to good looking. Damn Hollywood bull shit.

Almost on cue, I heard the door unlock and Xander popped in with a girl following close behind him. She looked to be about 17 years old with curliest blond hair and soft blue eyes. She looked like an angel, compared to Xander. He was the fucking devil.

“Hey my girls, how are my lovely’s doing?”

I wanted to puke. I just sat there. Wishing he wasn’t there. Grace on the other hand leaped out of her seat.

“Xander, your back. I did exactly like you said. When Mom finally woke up, I had her eat something. I don’t think she really ate enough.”  Grace said, turning to look at me. I couldn’t believe it. Here I am being ratted out by my own child. What the hell.

Then she looked behind Xander, with shock in her eyes.  “Who is she?” Grace almost sounded jealous. If I wasn’t already pissed off, and in this situation, I might have found the humor in it.

Xander turned towards the girl, drawing her more into the room, and said, “This is my niece, Nicole. She has come to stay for a while, while you get adjusted to your new life here.”

Grace walked up to Nicole and put out her hand. “Nice to meet you, I’m Grace”.

Nicole took Grace’s hand and said “Nice to meet you too, I know we’re going to get along great.” Her voice sounded like musical wind chimes. It sent chills down my spine. I know I read somewhere that vampire’s voices sound musical to mortal’s ears. Shit, was she a vampire too?

I couldn’t believe it; he brought someone to entertain Grace. A vampire at that. What the hell. Again that feeling in my stomach started happening, and I felt bile rise in my throat again. Suddenly, I jumped up and said, “Xander, can I talk to you for a moment in private?”

“Of course my love… I mean Ava. Girls, why don’t you go to Nicole’s room and get her settled. I’ll come get you when it’s time for dinner.” Then he gave Nicole a knowing look, and she nodded her head.

I didn’t want Grace to leave, but I figured Xander wouldn’t let her get hurt. He knew if she did, he wouldn’t get anything he wanted from me.

Once the girls left, he shut the door behind them.

“Well, Ava love, what can I do for you?”

“What can you do for me? You know exactly what you can do. You can set Grace and me free, and let us go back to our normal life.” I spat at him.

Walking towards me, I took a few steps back, until my body collided against a chest of drawers. In a moment he was directly in front of me. I allowed myself to be trapped between him and a piece of furniture. Shit Ava, you got to hold it together.

“Ava love.” Xander started to say.

I cut him off. “Stop with the love crap. I freakin hate it.”

He just smiled, and continued like he didn’t hear me. “Ava love, I can’t let you go. You belong to me now. The sooner you realize it, the easier things will be for you.”

“Easier for me? What the hell. You take me from my home. Kidnap my daughter and me, take us to God knows where, and expect me to fall at your fucking feet? I swear you must have more than a few screws lose! Hell, why can’t you get it through your head, I hate your fucking guts! I will never love you, never be your mate? I will do everything in my power to get the hell away from you!” I raged at him.
