Chapter 1

Abby's P.O.V

Driving up to the house was great.

It was the first time we actually got to see the house and it was a beautiful area.

My mum had convinced my brother, sister and I that it was a great place and she had scoped it out herself.

We weren't the wealthiest people in the world but we also were not poor.

I looked over at my younger sister as she stuck her short blonde hair out the window smiling as she took in the summer breeze. 

Her big green eyes shone with happiness and despair as she knew the life the was leaving behind. But I knew she would do anything for our mum.

"Chloe get your head inside of the window please" My mum asked nicely but being the 14 year old brat she was she started an argument.

"No, I don't want to" She said pushing her head more out the window sticking her tongue out at our mum through the cars side mirror

"Chloe Kara Matthews get your head inside the window before I roll it up" My mums strict tone set off all alarms and she pulled her head back inside

"Whatever" She rolled her eyes and sunk down in her seat.

"Derek can you please change the song" I asked kindly from behind him

"Yeah of course" My brother smiled and shuffled his music again.

My brother. Derek Blake Matthews. Loved by nearly every girl and frankly I didn't see it. I mean he is the nicest brother ever.

See what I did there.

He was strict and very over protective, but he was there when I need him. 

Whether it be crying over something stupid or Begging him for the last slice of Pizza or even because I was too scared to sleep at night after watching a scary movie so I would make him stay with me or at least stay until I fell asleep. 

He was amazing to me. 

I looked back out the window taking in the City area I was now in. It was beautiful. Something I usually would think of.

But not when I had to get up at 3 in the god damn morning to get here. I have been cooped up in this big car needing to pee for about 4 hours. The sun had just risen and I was taking in every breath taking moment.

Also looking around for the next service station not only was my bladder full. I was so hungry. It's not like we had breakfast at 3am when we were double checking nothing was left at home.

Molly was in the car with us but the small kitten was stuck with my brother. Probably scared out of her little mind.

"MUM!" I practically scream as I see the bright lights of a gas station.

"What?! What's wrong Abby" She placed one hand over her heart looking back quickly to make sure I was okay

"Gas Station" I nearly cried I was so excited.

"Alright, Okay. I guess you kids have been in the car for a while" She smiled pulling into the left lane closest to the gas station.

Next thing you knew I practically barged into the shop but had to wait for the stupid slow electronic doors.

I walked quickly over to the bathrooms and my brother looked at me like I was an alien.

The way I was walking I probably looked like one, No makeup and my hair looked disgusting but I didn't care. I just needed to pee.

I walked back out and looked over to where I could see Chloe's head and walked over.

She was currently trying to hold about a million things.

"What are you doing" I laughed

"None of your business" She snapped, I knew she was just kidding

"Do you want some help" I asked and she sighed

Nodding her head she handed over a couple of chocolate bars and packets of gummy bears.

I looked at her, my eyes saying 'Do you really need all of this'

She smiled and wiggled her eyebrows

"You have a weird obsession with gummy bears" I said

"It is completely normal, Don't listen to her Gummy's" She spoke

"Abby, Chloe" I heard Derek Call

We both instantly looked at each other and ducked behind the shelves. Giggling quietly we kept sneaking past him by jumping from the side of the shelves until he sprinted around and popped up behind us

"Boo" He whispered in between our heads

We both turned around and Chloe screamed.

I placed my hand over my heart and punched him in the shoulder with my spare hand.

"Ouch" he said pretending to be in pain

"Ha Ha" I said

"Hurry up. Mum's been waiting in the car for like 10 minutes" He said as we rushed to the counter.

After paying for the food we all hopped back into the car and I got to hold Molly.

She was softly purring and curling up in my lap, She was about the size of both my hands. We found her in box next to our family friends apartment as we were saying bye the other night.

She had grown quite fond of me.

My eyelids started to feel heavy and within a couple of minutes I had blacked out, Into my own little world, Where I keep my deepest. darkest. secrets.
