'Oh. My. God!' was all Becky could hear from Rob, before she saw his car. I think some dumb prankster has punctured Rob's car's front wheels.
'What is it?' Hilary asked, her eyes still closed.
'The car wheel...punctured.' Rob stammered. He took out his slim, expensive cell phone immediately from his jeans pocket and started searching for something, panic vivid in his face. He awkwardly help his phone in one hand, and holding Hilary by the waist in the other.
What is he trying to do?? Whatever it is. Maybe he was trying to contact a mechanic. Who knows? This is so annoying. Why is god not showing any grace on me?, Becky thought. I really really wanna go home, right now. And look, Hilary's feeling so bad...dizzy. God?
Becky thought he would help her if she remained G-O-D about Hilary's state. But she knew that this is not gonna work. Well, she knows what to do now. Magic! The hand was lifted, and the finger was flicked, and the wish was made inside her head, without anyone noticing it. And...it happened. The tyre inflated.
'Cool!' Becky appreciated herself, pleased.
'Look, Rob. We still have air in your stupid car's wheel. Look, look!' she shouted at her brother.
'Oh, yes!' His face lit up. 'Wait...what? Did you just call my Car 'STUPID'?' He sent a glare at Becky. 'And how did THIS happen? I mean, just now there was no air in it and now-'
'Ah? Who cares....Let's get to home.' Becky whined.
So they rode home, Hilary's head resting on Rob's shoulder, and Becky smirking on the back seat. Becky was the first to jump out of the car the moment Rob parked. She ran and banged her hand on the doorbell.
Finally, I'm home. Thank God, she thought, smiling merrily as her mom opened the door and stared at her in surprise. Well, how can she not be surprised when her two children and Hilary were supposed to be home only by tomorrow night. And by now, the sun was only overhead and Becky hadn't eaten anything since breakfast. Her stomach was demanding her unfairly.
'Hi!' was all Becky could let out of her mouth as she saw her mother's eyes shrink in confusion. Her mom blinked. She blinked again.
Once her mom was sure that her own daughter was standing in front of her, she blabbered, 'Becky? Uh...Why are you already home? And where is Rob and Hilary? Did anything happen? Tell me what happened?'
She shot so many questions at Becky, while Becky listened to none.
'Mom, Rob will answer you...' she groaned, and watched Rob at the doorstep struggling, waiting for Becky to give him way in. Becky moved, and he carried his girlfriend in his arms. 'Rob, Will you please take in my bag afterwards from the car?I'm tired.' But without waiting for an answer, Becky danced away to her room, stopping at the kitchen to fetch some food before that.
Once she was secure inside her room and was done with lunch, she jumped onto her bed and smiled at the cream coloured ceiling.
In seconds, she snored into a dream world.
ZzzZZzz! ZzzzZZZzz!
'Get up! GET UP!' she heard an angry voice, which belonged to Becky's mom. 'Becky! C'mon! Out of the bed...Fast!' Becky had slept, slept and slept without any limitations. From noon to dawn. Almost 18 hours. She broke the record on sleeping. Hasn't she?
'Mom!?! It's Sunday!' Becky whined impatiently, and flopped around on the bed.
'Shut up and Get up, Sleeping Beauty,' her mom hollered sarcastically.
'Didn't you hear what I said, Mom? IT IS SUNDAY. S-U-N-D-A-Y!!!'
There was a pause. Then...Splash! The ice cold water collided with Becky's face and the freezing cold ran down her neck, shocking the blood sprinting in her veins. She jumped up on her bed, her eyes popping out in horror.
Not again, Becky thought, as she saw her mom standing there with a bucket on her hand, and a mischievous smile plastered on her lips.
'Mom? Why are you doing this to me always?' Becky sent a glare at her mom, sitting Indian style on her bed.
'To wake you, dear.' her mom answered cheekily.
'Wha-? Well, where's my coffee?'
'In the kitchen. Go, get-'
Before her mom finished, she ran down the stairs to get her lovely morning coffee. But, she stopped midway as she heard her mom shouting from above.
'You haven't brushed yet, darling!'
'Oh, my, dear, old, god!' Becky muttered, smirking. It's fine if I didn't brush my teeth for one day. But she changed her mind that she needed to brush, because her mouth felt sour from sleeping. She took a step upstairs, but halted again. 'Well, Don't I have magic?' she asked herself. She pointed at her mouth and thought 'Clean my mouth!'...Flick! The sweet taste of her toothpaste ran down her throat.
Clean!, she grinned
She met Rob and Hilary on our chocolate couch in the hall. Rob had his eyes on a magazine, while Hilary was busy polishing her nails pink.
When she saw Becky, she said, 'Hello, Becky!' She batted her heavy eyelids. Becky shot a sugar sweet smile, which was actually forced and 200 % fake. Without wasting any more second, she rushed into the kitchen.
What she saw there, made her freeze. Her dad was drinking coffee. Well, seeing her dad drink coffee would not have been this shocking. But, he was drinking her coffee. Becky's coffee.
'Daaaaad!?!' she roared, sending daggers at him. He looked up at Becky, guilt filling his face as he grinned. He stood there dumbstruck for a while, but broke the silence anyway.
'Uh...Er-I'm sorry, Beck. You know how addicted I'm to this coffee. So, I just came into the kitchen and saw this cup full of coffee. So...' He said pointing at the ceramic cup from which he was sipping. Then he smiled at Becky like a baby, hoping his daughter would forgive her.
'What?' Becky spat.
'I said I'm sorry...' he complained.
Becky thought for a moment, still so annoyed 'You owe my a full bottle of Hershley' she told her dad, who's face shrunk, but still nodded.
When he strolled out of the kitchen, Becky couldn't stop smiling. She took a fresh cup and flicked at it.
'Cappuccino!' she whispered to the cup, with her finger pointing to it. The empty cup filled slowly with what she wanted, bubbling hot. Becky winked at it before sipping and groaning with pleasure. 'Aww...! A cup of Five-Star Cappuccino,' she couldn't stop feeling like a luxurious pumpkin. 'Plus, a bottle of Hershley. Bonus!'
