BECKY CORNER'S POV

Hunt XXX: I think I was foolish. Shouldn't have really believed Silvi too much. I guess I'd solved that problem now. ;)

Becky Lala Corner: Solved? Cool, but how?

HuntXXX: My little impatient sweetheart, you'll have to wait for that. XOXO!!

Little impatient sweetheart, huh? That's what he calls me? Why does he have to make me explode smiles every now and then on the same day.

HuntXXX: Rebeccaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! *toothy grin*

Ooof! I facebanged on my table, right on top of my math notes. No no no no no!

 No no no no no!

That same night, I received a call a from an overly excited Kimberly who was too lit up that she couldn't speak. She was literally crying over the phone, blubbering that Chase had gently apologized to her, and that he seemed honest and as if he meant the apology. Oh Wow! A big problem was cleared. Kim no longer sounded rude like last time, and that made me quickly forget all other troubles and go to head with a light head.

Somehow that day, Chase seemed like a nice and caring person, thoughtful and mysterious. And by hook or by crook, I was a teeny weeny bit impressed. Just the thought of him got a smile marked on my face. Oh boy, watcha doin' to me? I flipped over the bed and too soon, I was snoring into my dreams.

It has been around two weeks since Chase and I satisfiedly exchanged our little secret to each other. Chase had been hearty with Kimberly, and surprisingly friendly to me. Chase seemed alright in his relationship with Silvia too. I don't think he's going to dump her too soon; it is going to take some planning and waiting. But I'm totally not sure he'd ditch her just because she's complaining too much. He'd have to look too carefully to find more flaws in her; not to mention that he would see so much flaws if he noticed keenly.

Meanwhile Silvia was non-stop being chased by Sean Martin, the basketball boy. Chase knows about this, but he really haven't given a damn about it till now.

CHASE JONES' POV

I eyed Silvia as I sat slouched on a seat in the very last row of the Drama hall, Sean Martin right beside her helping her out as she pulled out her Drama yearly assignments wearily from her heavy pink leather bag to submit to the Drama teacher, Miss Charlotte. Drama is one of the very few classes the juniors and seniors share. She smiled exhaustedly at Sean, who had his arm on the small of her back, preventing her from swaying due to the weight of her unfinished assignment reports. Should I be angry and flush his face into the toilet seat, like every responsible boyfriend would? But I just didn't feel the urge to do that? Silvia behaves in the same syrupy way with me. It's my mind which is getting distracted from her thoughts.

Oh, what's happening to me? I used to like Silvia so much earlier, but now I totally seem to have lost my interest in her. Is this right? Is this wrong? Does it have anything to do with the girl sitting two seats away from me, smiling like a 1000 Watt bulb?

My eyes drifted dreamily over Becky's face, who was sitting next to Kim two seats to my right. Her assignments were already submitted and she was pleased to have gotten an A in Drama-Theory, while Kimberly was hurriedly scribbling through her unclipped papers, her lips quirked into a smirk. I was 100% sure that she was annoyed being in the old and colourless Drama hall, watching the excited juniors perform pointless musicals on the stage. But Becky's radiance brightened the place, making the whole surrounding vivid and brilliant.

All people are unique, but she's rare. And magical, as she is. I fancy her, and I wish she fancies me. All at once, I felt a strong desire to write a poetry about her, with the dim violin music of Cinderella covering the background. Oh god, when did I become Shakespeare's fool?

As if reading my thoughts, Becky's eyes darted to my face and she blinked. A disturbing look took over her face, and after that those little curious eyes repeatedly flickered here and there.

After a slow and boring twenty minutes, the bell rang and I stood up with relief. Kim tugged at the papers, stapled them in haste and walked past Becky and me to hand it to Miss Charlotte, who was swaying her arms in rhythm to the song in the far end of the hall, as the musical came to an end.

Becky swiftly shifted towards me and whispered into my ear, "We need to talk. It's something important. The Magical Society is in trouble."
